Let's take some time to begin to create space between your body and the rest of the world.
Take a breath in and hold it for as long as feels comfortable.
And right when you hit into the edges of where you can comfortably hold your breath,
Notice the discomfort.
Notice where you feel the pushing,
The tightening,
The contraction.
Notice where you feel the pressure rising.
Notice what comes up for you in this space.
Letting your breath exhale at whatever point it's too much for you.
At whatever point your body says now,
Bring that new air in.
And again,
Breathe the air in to the place where it feels uncomfortable to hold it to.
And feel the edges.
Holding it just for a moment until you let it go.
This isn't about expanding your capacity to feel uncomfortable.
It's about recognizing that you have more capacity to expand what is and could be comfortable for you.
Keep breathing.
Keep pushing just the tiniest bit.
Letting your body expand into this space.
Letting your breath tell you when it needs to shift.
Not controlling,
But allowing it.
Feel the discomfort.
Feel what's being triggered within you.
The sensations,
The fears,
The worries,
The what ifs.
The conversation that's happening in your mind as you hold your breath just a little bit longer than what's comfortable.
Just for a moment,
Being okay to be in the in-between space.
Between where you are and where you're going.
Just for a moment,
Seeing what's possible outside of your normal day-to-day.
Seeing what's possible if you dream,
If you dare.
Continuing to take these breaths and just holding them into the discomfort and letting go.
One more time.
In.
And exhale when ready.
Just past the place of comfort.
And take a regular breath,
Allowing your body to regulate again.
With one hand over your diaphragm,
One hand at your heart,
Your lower abdomen,
Whichever feels right,
And ground back into your body.
Connect back in.
Be in the in-between.
Be in the integration.
Be in the possibility and the space that opens here.
After stretching into what is just a little bit uncomfortable.
And breathe.
Stay in this place for as long as you need.
And when you're ready,
Come on back to the room.
