Hello,
Beautiful and divine goddess.
This is a contemplative practice that I have created for myself and would now like to share with you.
If you are struggling with menstrual pain,
Whether it's physical,
Mental,
Or emotional,
My wish is for you to feel in alignment with your body once again.
Maybe you already have a loving connection with your womb space and your cycles.
Maybe you fluctuate and often see it as an inconvenience or a curse.
Maybe you suffer from intense contractions or don't bleed as fluidly as you would like to.
Maybe your flow feels much too heavy for you to bear.
I know I have been there,
Too.
The womb space desires to have a relationship with you.
There is a deeply innate part of you that desires to be one with this flow of life.
If possible,
I invite you to sit on the ground using your favorite mat or rug and place a cushion just underneath you to slightly elevate your hips.
You may also lean against a wall.
I invite you to bring your legs into diamond pose where the soles of the feet connect and the knees splay outward.
Give yourself permission to change positions,
To stretch your legs,
Or lay down in order to honor your comfort level.
No need for extra strain.
Place your hands over your low belly,
Right over your womb.
Breathe naturally.
Feel the belly rise.
Feel it fall.
If your moon is a little bit late,
Or sparse,
Or intense,
Sometimes we just have to give up control.
Sometimes we just have to remember that we need to do less.
Tuning into that downward flow of energy,
The Apana Vayu,
That grounding,
Purifying energy.
Sometimes when we are so consumed by thought and with the stress of not understanding what our bodies are doing,
We become anxious without meaning to be.
Sometimes we try so hard not to be anxious and yet we still can't help it.
That anxiety tends to create an upward movement of energy and our bodies at this time of month naturally want to move downwards.
This is what we call the Apana Vayu,
The downward flow in which our energetic field craves.
So let's just create a little bit of awareness and a little bit more space by attuning to that downward flow.
Coming into harmony with what our body naturally knows how to do.
Aligning our focus,
Our mentality with our body.
Maintain your hands on your womb space and continue breathing.
Deep fluid breath.
If your legs are in diamond position,
Try to invite the intention of receptivity and natural openness between your yoni and the earth or mother nature.
If that feels too uncomfortable or invasive,
Please listen to your needs.
Remember,
You get to decide.
Slowly begin to feel your breath enter in through your nose,
Down into the backs of your lungs,
Down through your rib cage,
Down into your low belly,
Holding it there briefly,
Not squeezing,
Not contracting,
No tension.
And then letting go of the breath by visualizing it exiting through your pelvis,
Through your yoni and down into the earth.
Just one smooth,
Thoughtless and yet intentional downward flow of breath down into nature.
Practice this a few more times at your own pace.
I won't rush you.
I'll practice with you.
Feeling rooted,
Sturdy,
Stable,
Trusting,
Understanding that your body knows what to do.
You can let go of control now because she already knows.
She knows.
She's just waiting for you to let her do what she needs to.
Using that breath,
Feeling it enter into the lungs,
Further down into the rib cage,
Deeply into the belly and down into the pelvic region where you briefly hold before releasing.
And really visualizing detoxification,
The cleansing wonderful exit of this breath,
Of this flow out of your yoni and into the earth.
You can visualize this breath moving down into your body just like a waterfall,
A slow,
Gentle waterfall.
Feeling and seeing it flow down and further downwards into a pool of water.
Maybe you want to add the color red,
The color of purity and life,
The color of a woman's life force energy,
Fresh and clean and filled with vitality,
Healthy.
As this breath moves through your body from the top down,
Know that your body is preparing for something great,
Capital G Great.
And that you can expect beautiful fresh drops of vitality to flow from you because you are a woman.
You have a womb and this is your great,
Great blessing,
Your rite of passage.
You are okay.
You are healthy.
I see you working so hard for yourself and trying your best.
So now let go.
Trust your body.
Trust.
Trust.
Stay here for as long as you like.
I am so proud of you.
Namaste.
