
Shielded, Secure & 100% Expressed!

We all know what it's like to be around certain people or situations where we get thrown off our A-game,
Where we get pushed out of our comfort zone,
Where we feel unsafe,
Insecure,
Uncomfortable,
And we just don't express fully,
Authentically,
Powerfully.
Some of us are more sensitive than others.
Some of us come across as very confident,
But we all experience situations like this.
So what I want to do today is share with you some of my favorite go-to techniques and tools to help you feel secure,
Shielded,
Protected,
Strong,
And ready to fully express yourself.
So the first thing I want to do is share part of my morning routine that I do to help me feel shielded so that I'm not letting everything through.
What I do is I work with the crown chakra and the color violet,
Which many say is the color that represents the crown chakra.
Violet is said to be a transmutational color,
Meaning it can turn dense energy into light energy,
Negative into positive.
So what I do is I work with that energy,
Push it through my body,
My mind,
Emotions,
My energy field,
And then I surround myself in a bubble of violet light.
In that way,
All the energies that come towards me must be filtered through that violet light before reaching me consciously,
And it helps to sort of take the sting off of things,
The edge off of things,
And just make my day a little lighter,
Freer,
Easier.
So I invite you to get comfortable,
Close your eyes,
And bring your awareness to the crown.
Visualize a violet colored sphere of light up the size of a golf ball at the crown.
The next time you inhale,
Imagine that your breath is fueling that violet light,
Making it glow brighter.
And as you exhale through your nose,
That violet light moves its way through your mind,
Your emotions,
Your beliefs,
Transmuting density into lightness.
As you breathe in again,
The violet light at the crown glows bright.
And as you exhale,
That violet light pushes its way through your entire physical body,
Transmuting density,
Pain,
Exhaustion into lightness,
Freedom,
And empowerment.
As you breathe in again,
The violet light at the crown activates glows even brighter.
And as you exhale,
The violet light moves through your spine,
Chakras,
Meridians,
All the way out to your entire aura,
Filling you with violet light.
As you breathe in again,
The violet light at the crown glows even brighter.
And as you exhale,
The violet light pushes all the way out to the very edges of your aura,
Forming a violet bubble around you.
As you breathe in again,
The violet light activates and glows at the crown.
And as you exhale,
The violet light pushes backwards to your past,
Clearing up negativity from the past.
As you breathe in again,
The violet light glows even brighter at the crown.
And as you exhale,
You push it laterally all around you to the present.
As you breathe in again,
The violet light glows even brighter.
And as you exhale,
That violet light pushes forward into your future,
Clearing the path,
Smoothing the way for you going forward.
Beautiful.
I invite you to go ahead and open your eyes.
I do a version of this,
Pretty much that,
Plus a few other things every day to activate myself,
Get ready for my day,
Feel strong,
Secure,
And ready to go.
But I want to share a few other strategies with you that are going to help you a lot to feel ready to confidently express.
So now that we've got that shielding started,
I'm going to give you some stones you can work with.
I personally work with shungite.
It's S-H-U-N-G-I-T-E.
It's a black stone.
It's very protective.
I've heard it said that shungite can help protect us from excessive electromagnetic frequencies like strong Wi-Fi signal,
Strong cell phone signal,
Etc.
So I actually always carry this in my pocket.
But it's also said to protect us from overwhelming emotional energies of other people,
Situations,
Etc.
You can also work with aromatherapy.
My go-to every day is sacred frankincense.
I believe the Latin name for that one is Boswellia Sacra.
So if you do a search for sacred frankincense or Boswellia Sacra,
S-A-C-R-A,
Should be pretty easy to find.
And I mix a little Boswellia Sacra,
Sacred frankincense,
With some organic moisturizing oils,
And I just rub it into my whole scalp and head.
Now I don't have hair,
So that works well for me.
If you have hair,
Maybe mix it with some leave-in conditioner and just move it all through the scalp and the head region.
Very protective.
Very,
Very good way to anoint yourself.
Bless your day.
Get your day going with some good sacred energy.
You could also work with sandalwood.
That's a great one.
You could even work with palo santo.
If you've been feeling like you're under attack,
Getting a lot of negative energy thrown at you,
Palo santo is a great one to feel very protected and secure.
So those are some of my strategies.
They help me immensely.
I want to share a breathing exercise with you.
Actually,
A couple of breathing exercises.
Once we feel like,
Okay,
Okay,
I'm secure.
I can breathe now.
I can move through my day.
I'm not afraid anymore.
Once you feel secure and strong enough,
Then you can work on being more expressive,
More expansive,
Taking up more space.
So for this,
I want to share a breathing exercise.
Two rounds.
On this breathing exercise,
It's a little intense,
So please lay down for this one,
Especially if intense breathing exercises are new for you.
I would highly recommend laying down.
We're not going to make it too hard,
But it's a good strong breathing exercise.
For this one,
We're going to be breathing in through the mouth,
Making an O shape with the lips,
Sharp,
Sucking in of air through the lips like this.
And then on our exhales,
We will do the sound through the mouth as well.
We're going to do that for about 15 seconds,
And then we're going to double time it for about,
Say,
About 25 extra seconds beyond that.
I'll get my timer ready,
And let's go ahead and get ready.
After that,
I'll guide you through what immediately follows.
Go ahead and empty all the air from your lungs.
Definitely lay down if you're not familiar with this,
And take a deep breath in,
Beginning now.
Double time.
Almost there.
Breathe all the way in,
All the way out.
Hold the breath out,
Lungs empty,
Just for 10 seconds.
Notice what it feels like to be in a state of letting go,
Cleared out,
Emptied out.
And then let's move into a state of expansion.
Deep,
Deep breath in.
Breathe into the heart center.
Shine the heart forward,
Shoulders roll back.
We're going to hold this breath in for just 30 seconds total.
We're well into it already.
I invite you,
If you are able,
To sip a little more air into the heart and lungs.
You can visualize the color emerald green in the heart.
Sip in a little bit more air,
If you are able.
Spacious chin up,
Head held high,
Expansive,
Like a balloon that's inflating.
It takes up more space.
You are inflating your energy field,
Your being.
And go ahead and exhale.
I love this breathing exercise.
Just take a couple of normal breaths as we prepare for round two.
This is all about being more expansive,
Taking up more space,
And getting ready to express fully,
Authentically,
Not holding back.
On the next one,
We're going to,
When we do the breath hold in,
We're going to visualize aquamarine or turquoise or light blue at the throat chakra.
This is the chakra that's all about expression.
Once we are secure and feel safe,
Because we've got our protective energy bubble around us,
Then we are ready to fully express.
Go ahead and empty all the air from your lungs and let's prepare for round two.
And let's begin.
Double time.
Almost there.
Breathe all the way in,
All the way out.
Hold the breath out.
Lungs empty for just 10 seconds total.
Let's bring our awareness to the throat.
Visualize aquamarine or turquoise sphere of light in the throat.
Go ahead and breathe in,
Activating the throat with the breath.
Breathe in a little bit more air.
Keep going.
Sip it a little bit more.
Sip in even more to the center of the throat,
That aquamarine or turquoise light.
And imagine it crystal clear,
Like the water of the Caribbean against a white sand beach,
Or the Mediterranean against a white sand beach.
So clear.
We are way over halfway there with our breath hold.
The chin is up.
The heart is shining forward.
The throat is open and active and ready to express.
Feel your power here as we just have five more seconds if you're able.
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Beautiful.
And we're going to do one final throat activation breathing exercise.
I invite you to sit up,
Have your eyes open for this one.
This one is called lion's breath.
If you've ever practiced much yoga,
You've probably been to a class where you did lion's breath.
Lion's breath is a big,
Deep inhale through the nose.
I'm going to invite you to inhale.
Imagine you're sending the breath to the throat chakra.
And on the exhale,
We stick our tongue out with a,
Like that.
Let's go ahead and prepare.
Sit up nice and tall.
Empty all the air from your lungs.
Take up space and expand for this.
Deep breath in,
Sending it to the throat chakra.
Tongue out.
Two more times.
One more big,
Powerful,
Bold.
Beautiful.
When we feel safe and secure,
We are able to express boldly and authentically with kindness,
Love,
And compassion,
And confidence,
And courage.
May you be bold.
May you be empowered.
May you have fun with the rest of today,
The rest of this week,
And from here on out.

I really enjoyed this mixed mind/body meditation practice. Toby’s guidance is always so relatable and compassionate; I appreciate his support throughout the track. upon starting it for the first time, I instinctively put on my shungite bracelet and onyx bead/shungite pendant necklace beforehand. it was really special to hear this recommendation within the track; a reminder to trust my instincts and to remain steadfast in what I believe is right for me. lighting some incense while I spend time creating music. grateful for this reaffirming practice 😌🙏🏾.
