Once I have moved past the first step of acceptance, I can move into healing my heart. All grief and trauma held in the heart can be released and it can come to a place of rest and love. When the heart is healed it feels light and all burdens of the past can be released easily. Meditation is an inner journey to heal and transform my heart. **A special thank you and blessing to David Kilowsky for creating the music for this meditation.*

Today,

I'll spend some time reflecting and meditating to heal my heart.

Not the physical heart that beats and pumps blood around the body,

But the spiritual heart.

The heart that was once filled with love.

And the heart that sends out energy into my spiritual being.

The heart that stores memories.

And so today,

I check my heart.

What have I stored inside?

And in this meditation,

I clean my heart,

I heal my heart.

Using wisdom,

Understanding,

Acceptance,

And the power to let go of what does not serve me.

I make sure that I clear the entire heart of anything that causes pain.

The heart has the capacity to influence even my thinking.

So the purer my heart,

The more positive my mind will be.

As I reflect,

I check to see where there might be any feelings of sorrow,

Of loss,

Of pain.

Feelings of fear,

Anxiety,

And worry.

And very gently,

I tell my heart that all of these are old perceptions,

Old patterns,

Old stories.

And as I move on from these old stories,

I can see them with the eyes of learning and understanding.

I can look back on my past with the eyes of gratitude.

There is always something that I can be grateful for.

Every step of my journey offers me a chance to learn and grow.

Yes,

Some of the steps on the journey are harder than others,

But it's at those times that I dig deeper within myself to build more capacity and to expand my heart.

And as I reflect and I notice what is in my heart that is not serving me,

I gently let go of negative feelings.

There is nothing to lose in life because I actually possess nothing.

No one causes me pain or sorrow or sadness.

These are all my perception of what has happened.

And worry and anxiety don't help to build a better future.

In fact,

Their energy creates more confusion or fear.

So let me fill my heart with feelings of hope,

With faith,

With positivity.

I accept everything that has happened and I also move forward in life with courage and strength.

But right here,

Right now,

I just fill my heart with goodness.

So as you sense your breath coming in and going out,

Imagine your heart being filled with goodness and strength and courage with every breath you take in.

And as my heart heals,

As my heart is strengthened and the blocks are removed,

There is a feeling of ease in my mind.

And as I feel easy,

I can move forward into the future with optimism,

Reflection and meditation not only make me aware of what is in my heart,

But the gentle questioning helps me to align myself back to my truth.

It helps me to feel where I want to be.

And every feeling I create is like a drop of goodness.

Just take a moment to create feelings now that help you to move on.

Feelings of courage,

Of power,

Of strength,

A feeling of faith that everything will be okay.

Maybe a feeling of being protected and looked after.
