Welcome.
This practice is here to help you ease migraine tension.
Not by pushing it away,
But by softening and listening to your body with compassion.
You can do this sitting up or lying down.
Close your eyes gently.
Inhale slowly through the nose.
Hold.
Exhale softly through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale,
Hold,
And release.
Let the breath be your first medicine.
Feel your feet grounding into the earth.
Imagine roots extending down,
Anchoring you,
So the earth can hold what you no longer need to carry.
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine.
Breathe here.
Let your root feel steady,
Supported.
Now slowly move your attention upward to your belly,
To your chest,
To your shoulders.
With each exhale,
Release a little more tension.
Unclench your jaw.
Soften your eyes.
Relax your forehead.
Now bring your awareness to the crown of your head.
Imagine a cool violet mist forming there.
Gentle,
Soothing,
Swirling above you.
Let this mist touch the pain.
Not with force,
But with tenderness.
It softens.
It cools.
It melts tension little by little.
See now a small opening at the base of your skull.
With every exhale,
Imagine excess pressure releasing downward towards your spine,
Flowing out of your body and dissolving into the earth.
You don't have to hold it.
You don't have to resist it.
The earth will take care of what you release.
Silently or out loud,
Repeat after me,
I trust my body to guide me.
I release what does not serve.
I allow my light to recalibrate me.
Now return to your heart.
Place your hand gently over it.
Feel its warmth.
Whisper to yourself,
I am safe.
I am supported.
I am healed.
Stay in this soft space for as long as you need.
And when you're ready,
Return slowly.
Opening your eyes,
With a body at ease and a spirit restored.
Many blessings.
