This is a grounding and empowering meditation using visualisation and affirmations, enabling you to find a sense of peace, calm, and safety in stillness and solitude, allowing you to cultivate self-acceptance and self-compassion.

Transcript

Find a comfortable position,

A place where you are able to drop in to stillness,

A place where you will be undisturbed.

And wherever you choose,

Just noticing the surface beneath you,

Noticing the earth supporting you,

And just noticing how your body has arrived in this moment.

Noticing the clothes gently pressing against your skin,

Noticing the temperature of the room,

And just noticing the sounds around you.

And as you're here,

Just bringing awareness to your breath,

To the natural rise and fall on the inhale and the exhale.

Not trying to change anything,

Just simply noticing.

Noticing where your breath naturally lands in your body.

And as you're here,

Connecting to the earth beneath you,

To your body,

And to your breath,

I invite you now to draw awareness to just above the crown of your head.

And I invite you now to visualize in your mind's eye a beautiful,

Bright,

Warm ball of light,

Just hovering above your head.

And I invite you to move this beautiful,

Bright,

Golden light down to the center of your head,

The space between your eyebrows.

And just allowing this light to melt away any tension that you may feel here.

And moving this light down your cheeks,

Allowing them to soften.

Moving down your shoulders,

Your arms,

Into your hands and fingers,

And allowing this beautiful gold light to melt away any tension,

Any tightness,

Any places you may be gripping.

Moving this gold light down to the center of your heart space,

The space around your heart,

Allowing your heart to open,

And allowing this light to move down to your abdomen,

And moving down your hips,

And allowing your hips to soften.

Moving down your thighs,

Your legs,

All the way down to the soles of your feet.

And as this light has traveled from the crown of your head all the way down to the soles of your feet,

Can you bring gentle awareness to what has changed in your body?

And just being with that for a few more moments now.

I invite you now to draw awareness to the center of your chest,

To your heart space.

And just noticing how your heart feels.

There is no right or wrong.

Without judgment.

Your heart may feel light and open,

Or it may feel heavy and tense.

And this is okay.

I invite you now to breathe three deep,

Cleansing breaths into your heart.

Breathing in space and love with each breath.

I invite you now to place one or two hands over your heart.

And just feeling into the energy of your heart.

And in your mind's eye,

Can you visualize a bright,

Pink and purple flame in the center of your heart?

However this flame appears to you is perfect.

This flame represents your inner strength,

Your inner power,

Your courage,

And your light.

Can you take a moment to acknowledge all that you've been through?

Everything that you have overcome.

The strength,

The wisdom,

The courage,

The love that you have embodied.

This flame represents all of those things.

This flame is a reminder of these qualities.

This bright spark,

This flame is yours to keep.

I invite you now to allow the image of this flame to slowly fade away from your mind's eye.

And now offering yourself the gift of compassion.

With your hands over your heart,

Repeating these words.

May I be safe.

May my pain and sorrow be eased.

May my heart be at peace.

And as you hear those words,

Just noticing where you feel them in your body.

Can you plant these words into your heart like a seed?

Knowing that these words are yours to keep.

Repeating these words again.

May I be safe.

May my pain and sorrow be eased.

May my heart be at peace.

Just allowing these words to move through your entire being.

To expand out around you.

Knowing that you can return to these words whenever you need.

Because they are yours to keep.

And from here,

Bringing gentle awareness back into your body.

To the surface that you are on.

Into your breath.

And only when it feels right,

You may open your eyes.
