Hello and welcome.
My name is Staré and today I will be guiding you through a meditation that is designed to be practiced while showering.
If you're not in the shower yet,
Feel free to pause and return when you are.
This is a space to soften,
To cleanse,
And to release.
Let's begin.
As the water begins to flow,
Take a slow breath in and a gentle long breath out.
Feel the water as it touches your skin.
Notice its temperature.
Is it warm,
Cool,
Or somewhere in between?
Notice the pressure of the water.
Where does it land first?
How is it moving across your body?
Allow your breath to slow as your body begins to relax.
Bring awareness to your senses.
Notice what you can smell.
The soap,
The shampoo,
The steam,
A candle that you lit,
Or an incense that's burning.
Or simply the clean freshness of water.
Notice what you can feel.
Water on your scalp,
Your shoulders,
Your back.
The grounding sensation of standing supported beneath you.
If your thoughts begin to wander,
Gently guide them back to sensation.
This is a moment to fully be here.
As you continue to breathe,
Imagine that with each breath out,
Your body is releasing tension.
Anything that you have been carrying from your day,
From yesterday,
Or any moment before the present one that you are in now,
Release the stress,
The worry,
The anxiety.
Visualize those worries dissolving into the water,
Washing down your body,
And flowing effortlessly down the drain.
You don't need to solve anything right now.
With each inhale,
Imagine breathing in calm,
Clarity,
Fresh energy.
With each exhale,
Imagine releasing what no longer exists.
What no longer serves you.
Let the water do the work.
If emotions arise,
Allow them.
Sit with them.
Feel them.
If stillness arrives,
Welcome it.
As the shower continues,
Gently remind yourself,
I am safe to release.
I am supported.
I am allowed to rest.
I don't have to carry everything alone.
As you prepare to finish,
Take one final deep breath in,
And a slow breath out.
Know that anything you've released is allowed to stay behind.
You don't have to carry that into tomorrow,
Or into the remainder of your day.
You can return to this meditation anytime you shower,
Letting the water remind you how easily things can flow away.
You don't always have to carry everything with you,
Because honestly,
You're not meant to.
