This meditation takes you first through a relaxing and gravity based grounding practice before we deep dive into awareness of the heart's energy, the heart, the belly, the mind and the breath. The guide's voice is accompanied by backing music, a bell to signify the beginning and a koshi chime near the end of the practice.

Let's begin.

Let's begin by allowing your body to settle where you are To allow bones to sink down,

Muscles to soften Allowing joints to loosen See if you can allow the whole of your soft body to rest Allowing skin to release Allow yourself to be held Where in your body are you holding on?

What in your body are you protecting?

What if you could offer this place softness?

Feel the weight of your body now as you allow yourself to be held Feel the surface below you that holds you Notice the way your body is attracted downward I invite you here to notice that downward pull of your body,

Of your energy See if you can become aware of that connection that exists between the earth and you Maybe you can feel earth energy as it rises into your body Maybe you notice the effect that has on your body See if we can become the witness of earth energy rising in the body See if you can notice how your body responds See if you can feel the energy rising in the body From this place of centered groundedness Noticing the balance in the body And even though perhaps the mind is still drawing you away Noticing this firm space,

This anchor point Noticing each time the awareness is drawn away There's a tether straight back to the heart Spend some time with the heart I invite you to become aware of the energy of the heart What does the space around the heart feel like?

Let's notice the heart energy without judgment And if you feel nothing,

Allowing there to be no judgment there Simply noticing what is my experience Let's move right down into the heart itself Bringing the awareness right into the center of the heart Keeping our awareness centered in the heart,

Let's focus on what you hear Can you hear your heart sound?

As you hear your throat,

Heart Understanding where in the body can I hear my heart Let's focus on what you can feel in the heart space Can you feel the heart beating?

See if you can tune in to each side of the heart as it pulses And can you feel the blood as it passes through the heart?

And what else can you sense about the heart?

What else do you notice?

Let's bring our awareness to the stomach See if you can sense the shape of your stomach without judgment,

Only noticing Can we sense the feeling of clothing on the stomach?

Can you feel the heartbeat inside your stomach?

What else can you sense in the stomach?

Can you feel your food digesting?

Is your body asking for nourishment?

What message would your belly like you to hear?

Can you feel the heart beating?

Can you feel the heart beating?

Let's bring our awareness to the brain What can we sense when we focus on the head and the brain?

What is the energy like in the headspace?

Can we hear the sound of the brain?

Can we sense the sound of the brain?

Let's bring the awareness to the breath This calm,

Comforting space,

The breath,

Our friend,

The anchor Let the breath roll in and out of the body Let the breath soothe us into calm Let the breath flow in and out of the body Let the breath flow in and out of the body Let the breath flow in and out of the body Let the breath flow in and out of the body Let the breath flow in and out of the body Let the breath flow in and out of the body Let the breath flow in and out of the body And from wherever you are,

Wherever you've landed,

Begin to become aware of the body again The hand,

The foot,

The leg,

The weight of the body,

The sensations of the air on your skin Drawing in a deep breath,

Inviting animation into the body And slowly easing your way back into the room Blessings,
