Great,
So we're going to move into a practice now.
If you are sitting on a chair,
Your feet firmly on the ground,
If you're sitting on a cushion,
Your knees are crossed and your hands can be on your knees or in your lap.
Your back must be nice and straight and just dropping your chin,
Dropping your eyes,
If you like you can close your eyes,
You don't have to.
But if they say if you can't go outside,
We go inside.
And inside is where all our beautiful creative ideas and innovative thoughts are sitting waiting to be discovered.
They're just underneath all the murkiness of busyness and entertainment.
So feel gratitude for yourself today for logging on,
For giving yourself the space,
The clarity of mind.
To encourage that we're going to take three deep breaths,
Just breathing in through the nose,
Let's take in a breath,
Breathing in.
And release out the nostrils slowly.
This encourages us to go into the parasympathetic nervous system which is rest and digest and healing.
Breathing in through the nose and slowly release.
Last one,
Breathing in,
Immune boosting breath,
Breathing in through the nose.
Filling those lungs and release on the out breath,
Side out.
Returning to a normal breath and just feel that all your stress and anxiety is just melting away from you.
Starting from the top of your head and just dissolving through your face,
Down your neck,
Down your face,
Down your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your torso.
It's just dissolving,
Dissolving like a warm light that comes into you and just removes any sticky blackness stuff that's obscuring you today,
That's harming you,
Any gooey stuff just coming out of you,
Just moving through you.
These warm lights moving down your torso,
Into your abdomen,
Down your back like a glowy healing light just moving down through your pelvis,
Into your legs and your knees,
Shins,
Calves and feet just removing any anxiety,
Worry and panic and agitation and just leaving you purified of that now,
Just hollow and happy and beaming,
Beaming as if a light was switched on inside of you,
Glowing you could say.
And now just feeling the breath in the body,
Connecting with your breath,
Where do you feel the breath the most?
Is it in the abdomen?
Is it at the chest?
Or is it in the nostrils?
Just choosing one place,
Settling your mind just like the glitter jar,
If you shake it up it's so busy but as soon as you stop all that glitter just slowly settles just like your mind.
As soon as we rest and focus on our breathing,
All of our thoughts and plans and storylines they just settle down for a little while and we can then disconnect from them too.
We are not our storyline,
We are not our thoughts.
So,
Because we are exploring innovation and creativity today,
Carrying on with our series,
I want you to imagine,
Use your imagination that the air that you are breathing,
The air that you are taking in has the quality of creativity and innovation.
Imagine that as you breathe it in it fills your mind and it fills your body with every in-breath you just get more and more of it.
And combining a settling breath with visualization moves us into that alpha state,
That alpha brainwave state that neuroscience says where all our good ideas are just waiting to be discovered.
Breathing in today whatever creativity and innovation as if it was a quality or a gift floating in the air and you can imagine that even has a shape or a color,
What color is creativity today?
Make it whatever color you want creativity to be and breathe it in and let that color fill your being.
Let it paint you,
Let it paint your thoughts and your worries,
Maybe things have been gray and dull,
Bring that color into your thoughts,
Into your body,
Just by your breath,
Breathing in that color today.
Letting it splash through you as if you were a canvas,
A masterpiece.
If there is another quality that you need today whether it is courage,
Bravery,
Healing,
Compassion,
Love,
Whatever it is imagine it to be another color.
Whatever it is you need today more than anything imagine that color,
It's a different color to your creativity.
Let's imagine what that color looks like,
It's in the air,
It's floating,
It's a beautiful neon light that you can just breathe in into your being,
Into your body.
If it's healing,
Breathe it into the body,
Whatever it is you need,
Breathe it in now and with every breath take in more and more filling your body,
Filling your mind,
Your thoughts and your emotions,
Splashing it onto the page,
Onto your canvas,
Broad brush strokes,
Moving through your body,
Through your mind with every breath.
Coming now to the end of this practice you can dissolve the colors and images,
You can always come back to it later.
Drop your chin down and let's take in one beautiful deep breath just to end the practice,
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Breathing in and release out the mouth just side out.
And before you lift your chin just observe how you feel,
Do you feel any different to when you're logged on?
Everything comes from the mind and that's why we work with the mind.
All our creative ideas and innovations are all coming from the mind.
We can just create the perfect condition for everything to arise,
Lifting your chin and opening your eyes.
