Winter meditation for self-care and sacred stillness.

Slow down,

Beautiful soul.

Get ready to find a restful and nourishing moment just for you.

Grab a blanket and make yourself snug,

And let's begin.

Dropping into this space for you,

Begin by connecting to your breath.

Notice the movement of the breath.

Breathing slowly,

Smoothly,

Gently.

Allowing the breath to slow and your body to begin to relax.

Elongating the exhale and just allowing yourself this time to slow.

By slowing the breath,

We're slowing the mind.

Creating a pocket of stillness and being.

Winter offers us a chance to retreat,

To bring our focus inwards.

Breathing in and breathing out.

And as you breathe now,

Visualizing and sensing breathing and cooling energy.

Breathe that cool,

Crisp winter's air in through the nose.

And out through the nose or the mouth.

Allowing it to begin to cool your thoughts.

Slowing your mind.

Fostering stillness with every cooling breath you take.

Allowing this cooling breath to travel through the body.

Washing this cool,

Crisp energy through your whole body and being.

Creating stillness and ease within.

From this still place,

Let's take a winter's retreat for rest and contentment.

You find yourself in a treehouse log cabin.

Looking out over the snow-capped forest.

The log burner crackles as the flame dances and warms your body.

Snow gently falls.

And your vision and mind are captivated by the soft falling of the snow through the large windows.

You see the branches of the trees bend slowly as the weight of the snow begins to cause them to hang lower.

You sit on the window seat.

Wrapped in a blanket.

You breathe slowly and consciously,

Allowing a deep sigh as you exhale.

The winter sun is setting.

Creating dreamy pink skies.

You feel rested up in the trees.

Taking this time away just for you.

To connect with your soul.

To turn your focus inwards towards your needs.

A time to honour rest.

As the sun sets and the fading lights in the fire light the cabin.

You feel soothed and safe and content.

Take time to rest in this sacred alpine retreat.

Breathe,

Sweet soul.

You deserve a chance to honour you.

To cultivate rest and retreat from the busyness of life and refuel.

Allowing yourself to drop into stillness.

Wintering.

A time to withdraw,

A time of quietude.

A time to honour the senses and soothe the soul.

You rest in the cabin with twinkling candles and fading lights illuminating the magic of the stillness.

Sparkle and magic are all around.

A time to honour the signs and honour self-care.

Take this time to let go completely.

To trust in the safety of this magical space.

That you can relax.

Feel your muscles soften with every breath you take.

You move from the window seat towards a cosy couch in front of the log burner.

The aroma of the wood smoke and a hot chocolate resting on the table delight your senses.

Breathe.

Allowing pleasure in the simple things to expand.

Be still.

Take this sacred moment of alone time and soak it all up.

Feel your body resting peacefully.

Full of contentment.

Full of ease.

Your senses delighted yet not overstimulated.

The crackling fire.

The gentle snowfall.

Pure magic.

A time to rest and dream and be.

You smile as you rest gently on the couch.

Soft blankets wrapped around you.

The simplicity of the snow,

The fir trees and rooftop cabin allows you to truly switch off.

To be fully present.

Present at this moment.

Present to yourself,

To your needs.

Present to self-care and magic.

Flop,

Rest and allow,

Beautiful soul.

Take all the magic in,

Twinkling lights,

Beauty and stillness.

Connecting back to your breath.

In and out.

Enjoying these final moments of stillness,

Silence and reflection.

Breathe.

Feel the softness wash over your body.

Rest.

Allow.

You are allowed to simply be,

To enjoy the magic around you.

Whilst honouring sacred self-care.

Wintering.

You're going to begin to guide yourself back from this sacred retreat,

Taking back those peaceful energies,

That slow,

Steady pace and deep relaxation.

So beginning to really deepen the breath,

Feeling the belly rise and then fully exhale,

Releasing,

Letting go.

Bringing gentle movement to your fingers and toes.

Becoming more aware of your body and where it's currently resting.

Stretching,

Yawning,

Being guided as to what your body needs.

Taking some more active breaths,

Grounding yourself back into this present moment.

And when you feel ready,

You can blink open your eyes,

Taking in your surroundings and breathing deeply.
