Hello and welcome to this yoga nidra for a full moon yoga nidra.

The intention behind full moon yoga nidra meditations for me is to give you an opportunity to find in the stillness and ease of meditation to utilize the energy of the big moons,

The full moons and the new moons to tap into the emotions that are attached with these moons.

With the super moon we have heightened emotions and so we can shed light on what needs to be acknowledged with this big full moon energy and we can tap into the intentions around that particular moon.

We get to align with who we truly are because the fullness of the light is shining on that and we get to acknowledge what it is that we truly want while we release attachments to success or to failure of what has been realized and what has not yet been realized.

So now is the time to let go of old things,

Anything that didn't happen in the cycle that is ending on the full moon and to start with a fresh slate for anything that you look to bring into your awareness and into your heart space through the creation of intentions for what you like going forward.

So in this meditation we'll just heighten the awareness to those intentions.

You'll take this meditation lying down,

So come into a comfortable Shavasana,

Turn off all lights or bring an eye pillow over your eyes.

If you have the tendency to fall asleep you're welcome to bend your elbows so that you can have your hand up so that if your hand begins to fall you wake up.

And just take time to get settled in now.

Come to complete relaxation as we prepare for Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra.

And take a full breath in,

Exhale and drop in.

And today you'll be invited to move beyond your body that touches,

Tastes and smells to something deeper,

This subtle body.

You might find yourself riding the line between sleep and consciousness.

Just attempt to remain aware and know that if you drift off for a while all is fine,

Just come back.

The benefits of Yoga Nidra will still be felt whether or not you dip in and out.

But you can set an intention now by repeating after me,

I will remain conscious and aware during Yoga Nidra.

And now we will begin to journey deeper into your body.

And allow your body to be heavy now.

Just invite the heaviness into your whole body.

Surrender to your inner gravity.

Give your breath the highest quality of your attention.

Fill your breath entering through your nostrils.

Draw your breath into your belly.

Exhale send your breath to your feet.

Inhale into your navel center.

Exhale toward your crown.

Inhale belly.

Exhale to your feet.

Inhale belly rises.

Exhale toward your crown.

Inhale belly.

Exhale feet.

Now draw your inhale from your feet all the way to the crown of your head.

And exhale from the crown of your head toward your feet.

Inhale feet to crown.

Exhale crown to feet.

And continue to breathe in this wave like pattern.

Become aware now of any thoughts.

Allow them to pull and float like a lazy river alongside you.

Now allow your thoughts to flow underneath your legs,

Back and head.

Allow yourself to be supported by the buoyancy of your thoughts.

Bring any roles you play now into your mind's eye.

Your personality,

Any labels that you've given yourself or that others have given you.

All the roles bring them now into your mind's eye.

See them clearly.

On your next exhale,

Send them out into the ether around you.

They aren't gone,

But just out to bear witness to your experience.

Invite now a sensation of joy filling every cell of your body.

From the crown of your head to the tips of your fingers and your toes,

Feel joy and peace.

Radiate bliss.

And now imagine yourself in a place that is peaceful,

Calming,

And comforting.

This can be a real or an imagined place,

A favorite place you've visited,

Beach,

Valley,

Or mountain,

Or perhaps a home or a room of special significance.

Whatever the place,

Love,

And comfort and peace are felt here.

And notice this place's details.

And sense how you feel.

This peaceful space is your refuge of inner nurturing.

And as we move on,

Know that you are free to come back here at any time.

Bring your awareness now back to your breath.

Notice the rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale.

Allow your breath to travel to your heart's center.

Sense the beating of your heart.

Ask yourself,

What is my heart's greatest desire?

And listen,

Listen to your heart.

Your heart might not speak in words,

But rather in images.

Perhaps see the words of your heart.

Now create a positive statement from your heart's answer in the present as though it has already happened.

For example,

I trust my heart and nourish my needs.

You may use my words if you have any difficulty hearing your own.

Now state your sankalpa or your intention silently three times as truth.

And now let those words become a part of your heart's truth and let go of any holding on to your sankalpa.

Now say parts of your body.

And as you hear those parts,

Do not tense them.

Just bring your awareness to the part and feel it.

Bring your awareness to your tongue.

Notice the connection between your tongue and your teeth.

The roof of your mouth.

Sense your teeth.

The back of your throat.

Notice your nostrils,

Nose,

Eyebrow center,

Crown of your head.

Feel your whole face,

Neck,

Throat,

Both shoulders.

Sense your right arm,

Right hand,

All of your fingers,

Shoulders,

Left arm,

Your left hand.

Feel all left fingers together.

Sense both hands together.

Feel your wrists,

Elbows,

Shoulders,

Chest.

Feel your heart center,

The space around your heart,

Torso,

Low belly,

Your waist.

Sense your root center at the bottom of your spine.

Bring awareness to your hips,

Your right thigh,

Knee,

Right calf,

Right ankle.

Feel your right foot and all of its toes.

Sense your left hip,

Thigh,

Left knee.

Sense your left calf and shin,

Left ankle,

Foot.

Sense all of your left toes.

Feel the soles of your feet together,

Your heels,

Feel the entire front of your body,

And the entire back of your body.

Become aware of your whole body as a symphony.

Now notice your natural breath without changing it.

Sense its rhythm,

Length,

And depth.

Feel your root center at the base of your spine near your pelvic floor.

Perhaps notice the color red or another color.

Sense your root filling with breath.

Notice any sensations here in your root chakra,

Your seat of grounding.

Now become aware of your low belly,

Your sacral center.

Sense your breath here in the low belly.

Perhaps notice the color orange.

Sense your low belly filling with breath.

Notice any sensations here in your sacral chakra,

Your seat of intimacy and creativity.

Bring awareness now to your solar plexus center just above your belly button.

Fill your breath in this space here above your navel.

Perhaps you see the color yellow or another color.

Sense any sensations here in your solar plexus chakra,

Your house of power.

And float your awareness now to your heart center.

Notice your heart radiating outward toward your whole body.

Perhaps you sense the color green.

Notice any sensations here in your heart chakra where the ability to give and receive love is seated.

Become aware now of your throat.

Notice if you sense the color blue here or any other color.

Sense the sensations in your throat chakra,

Your seat of truth and house of purification.

Now sense your third eye between the eyebrows.

Notice your third eye open.

See if you sense the color indigo here or any other sensations in your third eye,

Seat of wisdom.

And now travel your awareness to the crown of your head.

Sense the energy radiating from your crown,

Perhaps violet or white energy.

Notice your connection to that which is greater than you.

Sense the symphony of all of your chakras in harmony.

Now you'll feel various sensations in your body.

Remember that your refuge of inner nurturing is available to you at any time.

Imagine your body becoming cold.

Feel cold in every part of your body.

Your legs are cold,

Arms cold,

Fingertips cold,

Nose cold.

Remember with cold,

Sense cold throughout your entire body.

And now feel hot.

Heat along your forehead,

Heat in your chest,

Fingertips,

Feet.

Feel hot all over.

And now feel cold again.

Sense cold all throughout your body.

And now hot again.

Feel warm all over.

Notice if you can feel hot and cold at the same time.

Feel the light between the sensations of cold and hot.

Now feel the sensation of filling up completely.

Sense a fullness in your body.

Feel completely up.

Legs full,

Arms full,

Torso full.

Feel a fullness throughout your whole body,

Body completely fills up.

And now sense emptiness.

Feel your empty torso,

Empty arms and legs.

Feel cavernous emptiness throughout your entire body.

Now feel full again,

Completely filled up.

And now empty again.

Empty out completely.

And alternate between filling full and empty now on your own.

Sense both fullness and emptiness together.

Bring your awareness now back to your heart center.

And imagine its energy as a glowing green orb floating in front of you.

And now floating around,

Above,

Below and inside of your heart.

And see this orb grow energetic tendrils that extend to your entire body.

Heart energy travels toward the crown of your head and meanders down along your belly,

Hips and legs to the soles of your feet.

And fill this heart energy leave you out into a clear,

Calm,

Dark and beautiful field with a giant full moon.

Begin walking through this field.

Notice the crispness in the air.

It is not too cold.

It is not warm.

Feel the gentle breeze along your cheek.

The wind tussles your hair.

Continue walking in this field,

Sensing grass underneath your feet.

Grass still warmed from a warm day.

Sense the blades of the grass tickling between your toes.

You look up in the giant,

Vast sky and notice the fullness of the moon and sense its energy kissing your cheeks.

Continue walking now.

In this darkness of the night,

Of this moonlit night,

You see something flickering ahead of you.

As you continue walking,

You notice that it is a fire.

You use the light of the fire,

A campfire,

To examine who all is here.

It seems that this campfire has been lit for you and there are others here who have shown up for you tonight.

At your campfire,

Notice your ideas show up,

Your deepest desires.

What are your deepest desires that give you joy?

See those desires alight with the fire of your camp.

See the joys of your heart here with you alight with the fire of your camp.

Notice all of the things that give you joy.

See the activities that give you joy.

What does life look like in your most joyous state?

Who is there with you?

Notice the people who are there in your most joyous state as they begin to fill the seats around your campfire.

Look into the fire and see the life that gives you joy.

Where are you living?

What is your vocation?

And see all of the people seated here at your campfire,

The ones who bolster those ideas,

Who support you and who cheerlead you.

How does it feel to be dancing in the joy of your deepest desires?

Come back now to that intention that you stated earlier.

Call now your heart's deepest desire and repeat it now three times and allow it to become a part of you.

Now aware of your deepest desires,

Ask yourself if there's anything you would like to toss into the fire,

Anything that impedes your ability to enjoy your life,

Anything that comes between you and joy.

Give it now to the fire.

Look at the fire and watch all of the things that no longer serve you burning in it and watch them disappear into the fire and the ashes blow into the ether.

Take one last look now at all of the people around the campfire who are willing to be in your joy with you,

Who support you,

Who love you,

Who see you for you,

Who support you in your deepest desires.

And look at the you that is fully realized living the life of joy.

Look at your face.

Look at your embodied joy and draw that face into you.

You get up now and begin walking back from where you came across the field guided by the light of this big and beautiful moon.

You continue walking across the field with the warm and crunching grass under your feet as you come back to yourself lying down on your mat.

And notice how it fills the joy that radiates throughout you having experienced yourself in your most joyous version of self.

Sense the energy and joy radiating throughout you.

Become aware now of yourself as witness having seen all of your experiences today.

Since the river of your thoughts and feelings moving back from underneath and alongside you coming back into your awareness now.

Deepen your breath.

Begin a full body inhalation and allow a full body exhalation.

Do that again.

Take a full breath in.

Fill this breath goes so deeply.

It comes in from your toes and exhale.

Allow it to go back to your toes.

Another inhale now.

Feel it coming from the edges of your body and exhale.

Sigh it out.

Notice the sensations coming back into your body.

Feel the connection between your back body and the ground.

Sense your clothes or anything else embracing your front body.

Create some gentle movements now into your body.

Gently move your head from side to side.

Squeeze your shoulders up toward your ears and let them go.

Move in any way that makes you feel good.

Take a deep belly breath.

Slowly and audibly exhale.

Take your way over now to your left side and drinking gratitude for your practice and the time that you've spent in communion with yourself tonight.

Press your hands to the floor.

As you keep your eyes lower closed,

Come to a seated position.

Lengthen your spine radiating your crown toward the heavens.

Take a full breath in and exhale a full breath out.

Notice how you feel and the echoes of your practice.

In this practice,

We tap into and recognize our own inner wisdom.

So if it resonates with you,

You can make the mudra of the lotus and bring the palms of your hands together and then move your fingertips away from one another,

Keeping connected your thumbs and your pinkies to make the sign of the lotus.

The lotus is a symbol that has been used throughout time to symbolize a resilience and a wisdom,

A deep wisdom that we have that is connected to this higher consciousness,

This greater purpose that we're all a part of.

As you look to your fingertips,

Acknowledge and recognize your inner wisdom.

If it feels right for you,

You can bring your fingers together now for Anjali mudra or prayer and tilt your head toward your fingertips and acknowledgement of yourself as teacher.

I invite you to carry this wisdom with you throughout the new cycle as we begin to set the seeds for the intentions for what we will bring into our new cycle.

The wisdom in me bows to your wisdom.

Jai Bhagwan.

Namaste.
