Hi,

I'm Sammy from Temple Yoga Perth.

Welcome to your space.

This meditation is your chance to pause,

Breathe and care for yourself.

My hope throughout time is that you can unwind,

Release what's not serving you and connect to your higher self,

Bringing your mind,

Body,

Heart and spirit back into alignment.

Breathe right into your core and into your heart,

Feeling your burdens dropping away and with every inhale,

Feeling that lightness filling your chest and with every exhale,

Feel that beautiful surrender of letting go and giving up what no longer serves you,

Breathing in,

Feeling your heart expanding,

That innermost part of you stretching and waking up,

Lowering your eyes and feeling that soft smile come across your face as you come home to yourself,

To your real self,

Knowing that in this space,

That loving part of you that chose now is drawing you and calling you to live life fully,

Unguarded with wisdom but an open heart,

Breathing in,

Feeling that expansion in our chest,

Our belly filling and exhaling,

Clearing breath through your mouth,

Three more clearing breaths,

Breathing in through your nose,

Feeling that breath filling your body,

Rounding your heart,

Full of clean,

Beautiful,

Reviving energy and sighing out through your mouth,

With every in-breath,

Soaking up and feeling like a sponge,

Just absorbing all of that and as you exhale,

Letting go of that tension,

Softening and dropping,

Resting and being reassured,

Breathing in,

Turning inward,

Returning home and exhale,

Placing both hands on your chest,

One hand on top of the other,

If you'd like to,

Taking that heart healing mudra,

Which is just a hand posture,

But it shows our intention,

So having your left thumb and your right index finger in contact,

Left index finger,

Right thumb in contact and placing your hand on your chest,

It's an intentional,

Healing,

Loving gesture towards your heart and breathe into that space and breathe out,

As you bring your mind's eye,

You feel your mind finding stillness,

Resting from the busyness that might have been,

Coming back to the present,

To the now and not racing,

But finding calm and comfort in the stillness and picturing as you breathe into your heart space,

Your mind is becoming still like that pool of water,

As the ripples stop,

It becomes glassy and clear and your mind's one job is just to focus on your breath,

As you breathe and you make space,

You are helping align who you are right now,

With that deepest part of you that called you here,

That loving part,

Sometimes we can feel there is a really big difference,

As we are on our self love journey and as we go through life and circumstances and environments,

Which sometimes we cannot control,

But we learn in this space,

As we turn towards our self and we grow and invest time,

We find life,

We choose life,

We choose to spend time and step into that loving core,

That loving part of ourselves which is always there,

Know that you are here for yourself,

That as you listen and you are real,

That you can know and understand yourself,

Say to yourself,

I am here,

I know,

I understand,

I love you and as you soften yourself,

You are allowing that healing balm of love to pour all over your innermost scars,

Pain,

Hurt,

You are able to receive,

To soften,

To trust and to listen.

When you meditate,

When you create space for mindfulness,

You create space to heal,

To realign,

To clean,

You allow yourself to grow full and round and fat with love,

You allow yourself to observe the reality,

Which can be hard and you choose to release,

Whatever you do,

Continue to follow the call from inside that draws you to your true self,

Your loving self,

Where there is calm,

Where you are lifted up,

Where you can feel that healing.

Now I want to share with you words that I wrote on my journey to self-love because just like you,

It was not always that way,

There was a gap between that loving centre and core that was calling me and to the me that was handling the environment and the situations around me.

I realised that I had given over my power and choice and at times I'd felt trapped and insecure,

I'd felt threatened,

Envious,

Angry,

I felt not enough and sometimes I even believed negative words and actions that had happened in my life.

As an international aid worker and a case worker,

I had learned very well to love others,

To care for others,

But I also learned that you can care in a dangerous way for yourself when it is at the expense of yourself.

I learned the hard way that I must love others and I must love myself.

So these words that I share with you have come from that place,

That hard journey that has taken me many years.

I hope that these words,

My journey to self-love resonate with you and if you like,

Maybe you want to repeat them in your mind too.

I am aligned,

Centred and I know who I am.

I can sit with discomfort,

Take action to maintain my health.

I like myself when I am on my own and I like the way that I am with other people and the earth.

I like my physical body,

My mind and I enjoy a healthy relationship with myself.

I trust myself to nourish,

Play,

Find joy,

Rest and take on challenges.

Life does not have to be perfect for me to love myself.

I am flexible,

Dynamic and I love myself through it all.

This is my self-love journey.

I hope that this continues in your own words as you discover ways to love yourself,

To find health,

To be aligned and return to that true core,

That loving centre.

And please remember,

Where you give energy,

You give life.
