This guided meditation is an invitation to lean into the ever present and abundant support of the earth- both as a companion for what might feel too heavy to hold by yourself, and also as a well of nourishment. This can be especially helpful in times of transition and when steady support around you seems in short supply. May this help re-anchor you to the radical generosity of the earth. This was recorded on Imbolc in 2025 to draw upon nature's emergent energies in the Northern hemisphere, but can be a balm anytime of the year.

Just as you are,

Allowing yourself to arrive in this moment.

Letting your awareness drift to all the places where your body is already being supported.

Perhaps at your back,

At your bum,

At your feet.

With your next few breaths,

Let each exhale be an invitation to yourself to settle down even a little bit more into each of these places of support.

Each exhale,

Letting go of a little bit more of that bracing that we sometimes carry with us through our day.

Letting your awareness now come down to your feet.

Perhaps wiggling your toes,

Noticing that movement and letting that movement guide your awareness down.

Down to that place of connection already here with the ground.

Beginning to imagine from the center of the soles of your feet,

Roots are growing down.

As if you were a big ancient tree,

Wise and strong.

And these roots grow down deep as they grow wide.

Growing past the floor of the room that you are in.

Growing past the foundations of the building that you are in.

Growing down until they touch dark,

Moist,

Rich,

Abundant soil of the earth.

And these roots continue to grow down as they grow wide and deep.

And the earth holds such immense potential for transformation.

All of life as we know it moves in these cycles of birth and death and rebirth.

Nothing is ever wasted,

Nothing is ever bad in the lens of nature and the earth cycles.

And with your next few exhales,

I'd like to invite you to allow whatever might feel a little too heavy for you to carry by yourself.

To be offered down to the earth.

And this is an offering,

Not a dumping.

An offering that recognizes how the earth can sometimes have so much more capacity.

So much more vastness to alchemize and transform what it is that by ourselves we might find a little hard.

With your next few exhales,

Almost as if whatever might feel too hard or heavy is being sent down through the roots growing from the soles of your feet into the earth.

With each exhale there is an emptying of what is ready to move.

Staying with this for a couple more breaths.

Each exhale offering down to the earth.

Letting each offering be an honoring also of the earth's vast potential and the way in which we are always already supported.

And after a few breaths you might find that the emptying,

The releasing,

The offering down might find a place of equilibrium.

And with your next few breaths then I invite you to draw in from the earth into yourself exactly the qualities of what you might desire right now.

This might be nourishment,

Peace,

Stability,

Support or something else.

Perhaps it might even be a nameless quality that could show up as a color for you.

And with your next few breaths inviting this into yourself through those roots growing deep into the earth.

Drawing that up through the soles of your feet and letting this fill you.

Filling you from your feet all the way up to your head.

Staying with this for your next few breaths.

Each inhale letting yourself be filled.

Letting the spaces that have become emptied from the offering down to the earth before.

Letting those spaces be filled with this freshness of what you're drawing in from the earth.

Each inhale continuing to draw in knowing that you're drawing from a limitless vast pool of abundance that the earth offers.

And again you might find at some point there is an equilibrium of receiving that happens or you feel full for now.

And when you sense that point in yourself beginning to let go of this intentional drawing in and letting your awareness come back down to that place of connection.

Where the soles of your feet are directly meeting the ground.

Knowing that this interplay between receiving and giving is happening constantly.

Even without you turning your conscious and intentional awareness you are already being met,

Already being held.

In your own way appreciating the earth for the ways in which you are already being met.

This could be through a simple thank you.

Could be with the intention of your feet meeting the ground like a kiss.

Knowing that this relationship continues even as we might bring our time here to a close for now.
