Hello beautiful souls,
Lyla here and this is the meditation for session 2 of the New Human Course where we spoke about self-love and shame.
As has already been mentioned but just to remind you,
This course is very much about self-work,
Self-contemplation and really feeling into the subject matter and the energies around what I share.
So it's not a theoretical course as much as I offer some theory,
It is really about just me holding space and guiding you through this.
So when it comes to self-love and shame,
It can be very difficult to tune into it in a non-judgmental way.
So I want you to hold that in mind as we step into this meditation.
While I was walking in the forest this morning,
I was guided with what I needed to do so I wanted to just wait for that guidance.
So I hope what I offer helps.

So if you're not in a comfortable position,
Just pause and go and do that.
Light yourself a candle,
Honour the space,
Set the intention to open up and connect in with your heart and to receive healing and information that is aligned to your highest good and healing.
So just settling now into a more relaxed space,
We start with our coherent breathing,
Which is really just a longer inhalation and exhalation than in your usual breathing.
Try at least to the count of four or five on each breath.
Not holding your breath but allowing it to unfold in a series of waves,
Gentle waves.
And on the inhalation just say to yourself,
I am connecting into my heart.
And on the exhalation just say I release all tension.
And as you do so notice how you relax,
Whether there is tension you need to just bring your breath towards.
And what we do then is we just breathe consciously,
Taking the light of that breath to the area of the body that you're feeling the tension or discomfort.
Just really acknowledging the breath as a pathway along which your soul,
Your energy,
Your life force travels.
And so by using the breath we really are opening those pathways for additional energy to come in and light and further expansion.
And now focusing your awareness at the area of your chest.
Placing your hand there if you need to pull your attention into a more tighter focus.
And then if you can I want you to visualize that you're breathing in and out of that place.
Just slowly opening that flower like I said if you can imagine there's a bud or a half open flower at your chest area.
Just as you inhale just breathe in the sunlight from above your head into that bud or flower.
And breathing in the light as you exhale see that flower expanding petal by petal.
And then holding an emotion of joy or love using your imagination to visualize someone you love deeply or a place or something you love doing.
Just connecting the imagination and the emotion and the breath to create a field in which our heart is connected to our higher mind.
And if you feel there is chattering just bring your focus back to your breath,
Back to the heart center,
Back to that beautiful flower,
Symbol of the divine in your chest.
And now just following that stem of the flower along your spine as if that golden cord is your beautiful stem going down into the ground and just connecting as deep as you need to.
Finding the nurturing energy of the earth.
Just imagine that stem and the roots going down and maybe you want to connect into a rock or a crystal.
At the base of a tree just make sure those roots are nice and solid and connected.
And then feeling those nurturing energies of the earth coming up through your physical body,
Providing much needed energetic nourishment.
And then relax into the heart center again.
And so using self love as a concept in which we focus on that flower that is opening up to the skies above.
As we receive that sunlight,
That golden light from the central sun feeding us energetic nourishment and light and it comes down and falls on that beautiful flower.
Ask yourself what it is you need to do perhaps to bring in more self care.
What is it that you need to be aware of?
Perhaps it's a thought pattern you need to change.
Perhaps it's a person you are letting into your field.
Just gently acknowledge those visuals that are coming through.
And as you do,
Just feel that pink light moving from your chest towards that person,
That habit,
That thought that needs to change and see it adjusting in front of you.
If you can't,
That's fine.
Just continue breathing.
We're just tuning into a deeper awareness of self care and what it means to you.
If you want to pause here and just breathe into that for a while longer and write some notes then do that.
And then continuing to breathe deeply,
We now examine shame.
And if you've read the notes,
You will have a better idea of what shame may mean to you.
But that element of shame that is within you,
I want you to project that in front of you.
So if it's a negative comment that appears often in your mind,
Just see what that person or that voice looks like when it stands outside of you.
And if you see something uncomfortable,
Don't get nervous or frustrated or irritated.
Just remain in your heart center calmly and quietly,
Acknowledging what it is you are shown.
Again you might want to pause here and just breathe to remain settled.
But as you look at that projection in front of you,
Instead of condemning and judging,
I want you to imagine that you are the nurturer,
You are the mother of that aspect.
And you are going to,
As far as possible,
Offer love to that image.
Perhaps it is an aspect of you,
Perhaps it is a reflection of someone who spoke bad things to you during your life.
I want you to go a little bit deeper and look at that aspect and ask,
Where is the hurt?
Where are you hurting?
Because invariably that aspect is hurting.
You might be shown a younger child version of yourself.
You might be offered information as to why that person is hurting or that aspect.
Just take all the information in non-judgmentally and then using your breath and the heart center,
I want you now to use that beautiful pink light.
Look up above and receive in the sunlight through your head and down into your heart and beam out in front of you a golden pink light that is filled with compassion and care and projected over whatever you are seeing,
Projected over the shame.
So there is a total acceptance of that aspect or person or scene,
A total acceptance.
And so continuing to breathe into the heart,
I want you to pause now just to write down any notes or reflections you may have experienced so you don't forget them later.
And then coming back,
Just ask whether there is anything more you need to see or understand.
And then take a big deep breath like a sigh and just remind yourself that you release all judgment and that you are committed to removing any imbalance within you that is not aligned to peace.
Removing any conflict within you that is not aligned to peace.
Removing any thoughts,
Beliefs or patterns that are not aligned to self,
Love and peace.
And as we close,
I want you to call in a guide,
An animal,
An angel,
Just ask for anything that you need to receive at this point in time.
Note how you feel as you receive it,
Open your heart with gratitude as you are blessed with a gift from spirit.
Bringing your attention back now into your physical body and seeing that golden white flower,
Perhaps pink or green,
Just closing slightly as far as you need to close it.
Bringing your attention back into your body and awareness of where you are sitting and just give thanks for what it is you have received without judgment.
