We all have things that are hard for us to handle. At times, it seems like we have no control over what is happening around us, which means it's easy to get frustrated, angry, or feel even a bit lost. So let me help you navigate that with meditation. Listen as I remind you of the power you do have when things around you seem challenging. You will feel more peaceful, and hopeful, and will be reminded that you CAN shift your perspective. This meditation will give you time to pause and get back to feeling centered again. Listen to this anytime you are dealing with burdens or when life gets crazy.

So taking a few moments and just allow your mind to begin to slow down.

Now all the thoughts choose to move to the back and the focus in this moment is on breath.

So breathing in,

You're going to hold at the top and then do a long exhale with a sound.

There you go,

Let it all out.

Breathing in again,

Hold at the top and intend that anything that is not needed,

You're just going to release through the exhale.

And I want you to call forth in your mind something that has been heavy for you.

You call it a burden or a challenge,

Problem,

Perhaps world defense,

Anything that energetically in your mind or with your body has been like,

Oh man,

It's going to happen.

So I want you to call that to mind.

Breathing in,

Just kind of grab the energy of that thing that is heavy for you.

And I want you to notice,

I'm going to say your relationship to that.

What I mean by that is,

Do you have repetitive thoughts over it?

Like,

Are you kind of going over and over and looping or obsessing about this burden?

I'm just going to use that word.

Or are there physical sensations?

Maybe your heart is heavy or there's tension in your body.

So just observe like,

Wow,

When I'm being with this thing,

This is how it's showing up.

Get awareness of that.

And in this moment,

I want you to make a decision because there are some things that we have no control over.

Or some things that seem like,

Gosh,

I don't know how it's ever going to change or how it can ever be with us.

So decision number one is,

I choose peace right now.

Say that.

Notice what happens when you say those words to your body.

In the presence of this,

I choose peace.

Read that in.

Say it to yourself again.

I observe that this is here.

Yes,

This is happening.

This isn't round,

But in this moment,

I choose peace.

And notice if anything softens,

Perhaps your body relaxes or your mind settles down.

And I want you to do one more thing.

I want you to remind yourself that all is well in this moment,

Even though it might not feel that way,

Even though things can be heavy or chaotic,

But in this one moment,

In this one breath,

You have all that you need.

You are safe,

You are supported,

You are held.

Taking a deep breath,

Breathe in the feeling of,

In this one moment,

I can get to the place of remembering and feeling that all is well.

All is well.

And if you have a sense of connection to God or source or the universe or something bigger,

I want you to imagine you can transcend this stuff that's in the way and plug in,

Connect,

Float above,

However you do that.

So just take one moment and it's the duality,

Right?

It's there's stuff,

Don't like it,

It's uncomfortable,

It's heavy,

But I'm choosing peace right now.

And by choosing peace,

I'm in the remembrance,

My body can settle down as I let it remember that all is well in this moment.

And then to finish it,

We plug into the source,

We plug in to the higher power or the greater being in your life,

Whatever that is for you.

Take a moment and just allow yourself to plug in right there,

Being held and nourished and supported.

Beautiful.

So I want you to take another deep breath and come back into your body.

And now notice when you think of the thing,

The heaviness,

The burden,

The challenge,

Does it feel lighter?

Is it perhaps smaller or farther away even?

I want you to notice your relationship to it now.

So the goal of this meditation was to just give you a sense of sovereignty and a different perspective.

Because lots of times we can't control things,

But we can control how we be with the things.

So taking one more deep breath and remember that you have more power and more control than perhaps you knew because you get to control how you be.

You get control of the state that you show up in.

And the reminder is,

It's in the moment.

So taking one moment again and just reminding yourself,

All is well in this moment.

Beautiful.

Take another couple deep breaths.

I want you to bring yourself back.

And I'm really grateful that you listened to this meditation.

Remember,

You can do this again and again.

It's all in the moment.
