Welcome to this meditation,

This invitation to settle your nervous system and remind yourself it's not about survive anymore,

It's your time to thrive.

Find a position that feels comfortable for you and supportive.

Let your shoulders drop,

Let your jaw soften,

And let your hands rest with ease.

Either closing your eyes or softening your gaze,

Begin by slowly taking a deep breath in through the nose and extend your breath out through the mouth.

Again,

Inhale gently and exhale slowly lengthening the breath out.

Now bring your breath to its natural flow in and out and invite awareness to places in your body that may be holding any tension or tightness and just be aware.

Notice where that tension is throughout your entire body and just noticing without the need to fix or change anything,

Just simply notice with kindness.

As you breathe in and out naturally and become aware of the tension,

Imagine sending a signal of safety to these areas with a quiet message that says,

You can soften now,

You are supported and you are seen.

Thank your body for showing you these areas of tension so that you may send love to all these areas,

Sending the message that you are safe and embrace the soft hug of calm to these areas.

If it feels comfortable,

Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.

Feel the warmth of your own touch,

Allow yourself to receive this reassurance of calm and safety,

This nurturing embrace to yourself.

Slowly and evenly you breathe,

Inhaling calm,

Exhaling gentle release.

Should thoughts arise,

Allow them to pass like clouds,

No need to follow them,

Just allowing them to pass through,

Calmly,

Gently letting go.

Now imagine your body wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and peaceful moments,

A space where nothing is required of you,

Just stillness,

Feeling safe,

Feeling protected,

Nurtured and loved.

It is here,

In the now,

Your nervous system can relax and let go,

Here rest is allowed.

Silently repeat to yourself,

In this moment I am safe,

In this moment I am loved,

I am allowed to slow down,

Pause and embrace stillness,

In this moment my body knows how to connect and return to balance,

And I allow it to do so.

Notice any subtle shifts,

A softening,

A deep breath,

A sigh of relief,

A willingness to let go,

A sense of warmth,

Feeling lighter,

Feeling freedom,

Feeling peaceful and calm.

Trust whatever your body offers or shows you and know it can heal,

You can heal,

You are okay,

Everything is going to be okay.

Speak silently to yourself,

Further reassuring and embracing calm,

In this moment I am safe,

In this moment I am loved,

In this moment I am allowed to pause and rest,

In this moment I let myself simply be,

In this moment I remember that I can and am this beautiful state of calm,

Calm,

Self-compassion,

Steadiness,

Support and safety,

In this moment it is within me,

Now take a moment to breathe in through your nose,

And then exhale softly letting the breath move out,

And once again inhale through your nose,

Nice and gentle,

And exhale through your mouth,

Letting yourself know I am settled,

I am protected,

I am calm,

I am loved,

I am connected and grounded,

And I let it be so from this moment on,

And so it is.
