Centering practice. The purpose of this meditation is to introduce and to practice the idea that we can choose our centre of gravity for our daily living. When we are in our minds, Thinking from one thought to the next, Judging, Running stories, Our centre of gravity could be said to be quite high up in our body. We are living in our heads. This practice allows us to bring the centre of gravity lower down towards our root chakra, Where we will feel more centred and calm. And this practice is remarkably simple to apply and can be done in the beginning of the day before we rise out of bed and connect into the world. It can be done during breaks during the day and then at the end of the day before we drift off into a nice, Calm, Refreshing sleep. So to become more centred, More grounded, We meditate on three principles. The first is that my experience of the world is based upon my thoughts. My thoughts affect my perception. Therefore, What if I could choose my thoughts? What if I could choose the bias of my thoughts? What if I could choose what I allowed myself to think about? The second principle is I can actually only control my thoughts and the actions that I take. The rest of the world goes by, Be it by fate, By nature, By the massive complexity of the universe, Be it by God. But I can only choose my own thoughts and the actions that I take. I have no control over anything else, So I can let that go. I cannot control the traffic, I cannot control the weather, I cannot control the movement of the planets, Nor can I control whether somebody likes me or not, Or whether somebody is happy or sad. I merely can control my thoughts about it. And when I say control, I refer to just choosing. Based on my feelings will give me indications, Will point me to where my thoughts are taking me right now, And I can choose to take action or not. And the final principle is I release my judgements and the stories that I add to experiences. Things happen in a moment, In every moment. And by letting go of any stories of the past, Or any concerns or stories for the future, I can live truly in the moment as it is right now. So to allow these principles to soak in and to practice and apply them to our mind right now as we are. We recap. My experience is based upon my thoughts. I have only control over my thoughts and my actions. How I feel meets me towards where I want to be. And I release judgement and stories of the past or the future for every moment as it happens. I'll just take a few moments to just allow these to soak in. I'll just take a few moments to just allow these to soak in. My experience of the world is based upon my thoughts. I can only control my thoughts and actions. My feelings guide me. And I release judgment and stories about this moment. I can only control my thoughts and actions. So we let go of the churn and bubbles that are in our mind. They just seem to accidentally happen throughout the day as we plug into social media or technology or TV or books or magazines or moving through the world. We let go of that churn and bubble with the knowledge that our experience is based upon our thoughts. We can only control our thoughts and actions. And our feelings guide us. And by releasing judgment and stories of the past or the future on this moment, We can truly live with presence here in the now. So we'll take a nice deep cleansing breath. And then release. And another deep cleansing breath. And then release.

Nice shorter meditation. No ending bell, but the background music stops, so it's not a problem. Nice, calm voice.

I liked this. Very basic, probably good for beginners. Not the most professional production (background noises) but hey, that's meditation IRL! Really liked the 3 main messages. Will keep them in mind today.
