Okay,
We continue with the daily Satsang,
The transmission,
And just making sure that you're relaxed and receptive in a comfortable position,
But not in a position that restricts the breathing or restricts the energy movement.
So a posture that is very upright and open is a very good thing to put into practice.
Okay,
So we begin with the transmission.
When you are ready,
The intention of today is to go a little bit deeper into meditation through practice,
But also by letting ourselves understand,
Somehow coming back to an understanding that being mindful,
Being attentive to whatever is happening around you or inside of you is part of meditation.
See,
Usually we are so very caught by the outside world and the information that we have to process due to the outside world,
Information that is somehow being perceived through our senses or being perceived through our thoughts or feelings,
That it's very difficult to be present and mindful of what is really happening.
We get caught in whatever it is that our attention sees as important for that moment.
But when I say being attentive,
What I'm speaking about is just exploring all and everything that is going on in this moment.
So this means that sometimes we have to actually be attentive to situations that aren't as obvious,
More subtle situations that aren't as obvious to perhaps the sense of awareness that as one would be of say,
If one is hungry or one is tired or one is irritated,
Where the senses are excited by the situation and so excited that the focus becomes just that.
So it's important today in your practice that you somehow explore what it means to be mindful and what it means to be aware.
And one of the first steps that helps this to be put into practice and into real practice,
Not just thought about or sort of understood through mental concepts,
But understood directly is to listen to indicators,
To listen to the indicators that clarify for you what is really happening in this moment.
So for example,
You may be thinking,
Oh,
I'm not feeling good in this moment or I'm feeling happy in this moment or I'm feeling hungry in this moment.
But actually,
That's not an indicator.
When you look at the situation from a deeper perspective,
What is important is to look at true indicators of what it means to be aware of what's going on.
So it doesn't matter what the mind says,
Because you know,
The mind is a perception,
It matters to some degree,
But it doesn't matter when it comes to understanding what being mindful of this beautiful experience,
Being present to this beautiful experience really means.
So true indicators are such things as posture.
You can explore posture right now.
So it's not something that simply is understood as a concept,
But you can sort of be mindful of your posture right now and explore what this means,
What this means to you.
So perhaps if you're sitting in a way where your body is scrunched or the shoulders are not so open in such a way where you can breathe deeply,
That creates a whole space of attention that brings you back to,
Your posture brings you back to sort of attitude or a sort of understanding of reality that very much reflects the posture.
So if you're afraid,
The fear is reflected in your posture and the body communicates this even if you're not aware of it.
So it doesn't mean that this moment is as obvious as your mind thinks.
You know,
I'm aware of this moment because I'm aware of my hunger or I'm aware of this moment because I'm aware of the noise that's happening around me.
This is not what I'm speaking about.
Being aware means truly being aware of this moment as it manifests in reality,
Not through your perceptions.
That's a very,
Very major difference when you look at it.
So sometimes,
You know,
People don't know that their posture is reflecting or mirroring an attitude that in this moment that is the attitude that they embrace as reality.
They don't know this reality because it's subconscious or it's sort of hidden.
So you can walk around with your shoulders sort of tight and stressed,
But you don't know until you,
At the end of the day,
You realize,
Gosh,
My shoulders ache and they're not so very,
Don't feel so very relaxed.
Yes,
But it's not just in that moment that you've become aware of the situation.
Your body has been aware of this situation since the stress began to transform the muscle communication to stress communication,
But you're just,
You haven't been present enough to the situation to communicate that in a real coherent way so that your whole awareness says,
Oh,
My body is not happy about something.
And so you listen now by being aware,
You listen to the posture as an indicator,
A true indicator of truly,
Truly what is going on inside of you right now in this moment,
Rather than listening just to the conceptual mind that is perceiving situations.
So here is where the shift happens.
We shift our awareness from ego perception,
Which means,
You know,
Just the concepts and thoughts that we're having that are based upon our egoic sort of self-centered perspective,
And we begin to give attention to different things that are happening around us,
Such as the posture,
Such as the breath,
Such as the way that we speak.
You know,
If you're afraid,
Your voice will change.
We know this.
Or if you're sad,
Your voice will change.
If you're happy,
Your voice will change.
So being aware of those indicators that reflect to you what is truly going on means that you will begin to become so connected to this moment that this moment becomes more obvious to you because you are aware of your posture.
It becomes more obvious to you directly what is going on,
Your gesture,
Your voice,
Your habits,
The way that you breathe,
The way that your energy.
So,
And this is even more difficult,
The way that your energy perceives the situation.
So not the way that your mind perceives the situation.
Now if you can connect to the way your energy perceives the situation,
That's an incredible gift.
And there are many people who are doing this without even knowing that they're doing this.
People who I call sensitives,
You know,
Not sensitive in the sense of,
You know,
Everything is too much,
You know,
Noise makes one too vulnerable,
Or not that sort of sensitivity,
But you can be sensitive in that way also.
But the sensitivity where you just somehow know things.
You walk in a room and there is an intuitive understanding of a situation that couldn't have been really perceived in a normal way because all these things are hidden.
There is an explanation.
Perhaps you see something or you become aware of something that is going on that is so subtle that your perception doesn't really matter in that moment.
It's more the subtle perception that begins to communicate to you what is going on and you're sensitive enough to be present to that information.
So many of us are so sensitive,
Everyone is in the end,
But many of us are so sensitive that that information becomes more important than the usual information that is important,
Which is the information that's transmitted through our senses,
You know,
That then create thoughts that are very much filtered through the ego mind and we understand the world from that perspective.
So if we're sensitive,
Sometimes we understand the world from a different perspective.
That's a challenge in itself and sometimes creates insecurity,
Sometimes creates sort of sense of overwhelm because there is so much information that's been somehow worked through or understood that the mind needs some sort of direction and this is why it's important to be aware of the indicators because then you can sort of place the information or understand where the information is coming from.
So,
You know,
If it's your posture that is creating,
Say,
A feeling,
Because very often it's which came first,
The egg or the chicken,
You know.
Is it your posture creating the sense of being vulnerable or is it the vulnerability that's creating the posture that then creates the sense of vulnerability?
But anyway,
It doesn't really matter which came first.
You can begin to address that which is most easy to address.
Say your posture,
You can make sure that your posture is upright,
You can make sure that you're aware of how your body is communicating to you.
And so then all of a sudden the information that you are placing within your sort of aware space is not just a mind thinking,
Thinking,
Thinking,
And obsessing and worrying or somehow repeating its energetic pattern and obsessing over certain situations,
But rather the posture.
So you're aware.
Sometimes we walk into a space and our posture gets a little bit more,
We walk into a space and our posture somehow changes.
We're a little bit more reserved or a little bit more apprehensive and it could just be that we walk into a room and there is nothing really bad,
But perhaps there is,
There is energy that our body becomes very sensitive to,
Energy such as say radio frequencies or radio magnetic frequencies,
Say EMFs or whatever,
That we are sensitive to that then create a reaction in the body where we want to protect ourselves from what is invisible.
And so all of a sudden we somehow,
Our body reacts and communicates that,
But because we're not aware of this reaction,
So we're not aware or we're not connected to our posture and because we are so caught in the mental conceptualization of whatever is happening,
That the posture just then begins to create a sense of fear and we become afraid of fear itself rather than recognizing that,
Ah,
There is a real thing going on,
Maybe not as tangible as some physical thing that is useful to be aware of,
Say,
You know,
Something happening and you have to be careful,
You have to walk around it or whatever,
And this is more invisible,
So you're not aware of the EMF through your senses in that way,
But your posture or your voice or your,
If you're connected to your breath or even the organs in your body,
You know,
We can somehow communicate to the organs within our body in such a way where we understand if we are doing something that isn't so useful and that brings about contraction or that brings about a state of separation from our awareness,
From our connectedness to the information that is constantly being received,
But sometimes being received through the more subtle aspects of ourselves that we're not aware of.
This is where meditation is so very useful because meditation helps us to connect to our posture,
To our voice,
To our gestures,
To our habits,
To our energies,
Subtle energies,
The energies of what is known as the chakras or the energy centers,
The solar plexus,
The heart,
The throat,
So many,
So many aspects now become more important as we sit and meditate,
Which means basically we're extending awareness beyond just the egoic self and we're extending meditation so that we connect to that which is sending information all the time to us,
But sometimes now we just by sitting and relaxing and opening up and being receptive in this way,
We connect to what we are connected to already,
But we become aware of it.
And this is what mindfulness means.
It's not as people speak about today,
Mindfulness has become so popular,
It's everywhere,
Which has been translated,
Unfortunately.
It's useful to some degree,
But unfortunately it limits mindfulness to Western conceptual belief systems that being mindful means just being mindful of the food that you put in your mouth or what you're touching,
But and some people understand this is of course not the case,
But being mindful means that you're aware of how awareness is interacting with the information that's constantly being transmitted around you.
So this doesn't mean that you somehow become self-centered,
You know,
What's my posture saying or what's my voice saying,
What is this saying,
What is that saying,
You know,
That's an egoic perspective of trying to understand this moment,
That you're somehow trying to filter this moment through conceptual thought or conceptual perspectives that pull you away from your connection to your posture.
Your posture just communicates to you immediately.
You don't need to think about what is going on,
You just need to be aware of what's going on,
You just need to be present to what is going on.
So if you're aware of your posture,
You know,
It's not that you have to think,
Oh now I'm doing this and what does it mean and how do I change it and you know,
All that is useful to some degree,
But it's not what I'm speaking about.
I'm speaking about being connected to the subtle information that's being transmitted directly,
More directly than filtering it through your mind.
And that is what happens when you sit in meditation,
Whether you're aware of it or not,
You become more aware of things.
You become more aware of things because you're allowing yourself to be receptive.
So as you breathe in and breathe out,
The fact that you're breathing in more oxygen,
Breathing in more space and breathing in more connection to your awareness,
All of a sudden you are in the space where you are connected to your posture and you're aware enough to change that posture.
Because of course when you're aware that you're tense,
It's natural to want to relax.
If you're aware that you're afraid,
It's natural to want to let go of that fear.
You know,
It's not something that you have to work through,
It's something that happens very naturally without effort.
So today what is very useful is just to come back to understanding that as you sit in stillness,
The stillness is full of information.
And all you have to do is be open and receptive to this information and ask for this information to communicate directly so that directly to those parts of you that now can listen to them and transform what is constricted or what is limited or what is not healing or what is not creating equilibrium to transform those aspects directly without your sort of involvement directly to a space where you're more receptive to the healing message that is being communicated.
Because there is always a healing message.
So if you're breathing in such a way where you're not oxygenating your body,
The healing message is that you can let that go and breathe in and explore what it means to breathe in in a deeper way.
If your posture is not somehow helping to create equilibrium,
It's as simple as your body recognizing that and saying,
Okay,
I will straighten up or I will correct this or I will change this.
You don't need to think about it.
So as you sit in meditation,
One of the things that if you are a sensitive or if you're intuitive or if you are learning to be sensitive and learning to be intuitive,
One of the things that happens is that you begin to trust your being more.
You begin to trust the information that is being transmitted beyond your thoughts much more.
So you begin to trust the unknown because you don't know it at the moment,
Perhaps you're not aware of it at the moment,
But you slowly begin to trust yourself enough to make that which is unknown more conscious,
To make that which is unknown to say your body or to your breath or to your sensitivity,
To make that more visible on some level so that the information is transmitted directly and begins to transform that which is unknown to unknowingness,
Knowledge.
That is such a wonderful thing when you begin to explore knowledge in this way.
As you breathe in and breathe out,
Letting go of the fear,
Letting go of the limitations,
Letting go of the mundane worries,
The anxieties,
The stresses,
And just opening up to the space that is all around you.
Even though at this moment it may be or may seem that the space around you is unknown,
You're beginning to explore and trust enough,
You're beginning to explore and you're trusting enough that the space now is transmitting information directly so that everything comes back into balance.
Your posture,
Your voice,
Your relationship to your body,
Your connection to the organs and energy centers,
Your intuition,
All comes back to equilibrium.
Deep breath and letting go,
Just enjoying the stillness as you breathe in and breathe out.
Just opening up as you come back to the stillness,
Opening up so that the information is transmitted directly to all aspects of your being.
You're opening up to being the perfect,
Beautiful,
Conscious,
Aware human being that you truly are.
Deep breath.
You may wish to continue for a few moments in stillness,
Letting go,
Open and receptive,
Just present through the gift of being alive.
Deep breath.
Thank you.
