I was speaking about the third eye and the energy of the third eye being connected to the pituitary pineal gland,
The master gland,
That allows us to move deeper into consciousness,
Deeper into the state of awareness that connects us to our own wisdom,
What Rumi speaks about as the light,
The light of consciousness,
The light of our deep inner wisdom that we all have,
But sometimes gets covered up by all the busyness that we get our minds focused upon,
All the thoughts and feelings that we sometimes get caught by and then forget this inner light.
So Rumi speaks about this inner light in mysticism,
Which is a tradition that allows us to understand the third eye and the importance of the third eye,
And Rumi speaks about it in a poetic way,
And this is,
I'll just read out what he says,
He writes of course in Persian,
But in English,
This somehow translates pretty well to what he was trying to convey in his poetry.
So he speaks about the light and he says,
The light that allows the eye to see is in truth the light of the heart.
Now that is such an important realization,
It may sound very simple or beautiful,
But it's such an important realization because as highlighted previously,
The third eye and our perception of the deep inner state of consciousness that is accessible to everyone,
That's universal,
Requires one very important space to be realized or to be activated,
That is the space of positivity or joy and bliss.
And that is what Rumi speaks about,
The light of the heart.
See,
He's not saying the heart that suffers or the heart that is caught up in all the challenges that life is all about,
But he's saying the light of the heart and this lightness of the heart is this sort of inner tranquility that is intermingled with this sense of bliss and happiness and joy,
Contentment,
Sort of a lightness that you feel when you let go of the tension that the heart sometimes gets caught up within as we just live mundane everyday situations.
And so that light that he's speaking about,
Rumi loves the word light and perhaps it's a wonderful description of our inner forces that we are connecting to through meditation,
That light that shines through the third eye.
So as you sit and practice,
As you sit in meditation and you sort of come back to the energy of the third eye,
You come back to the awareness that this point between the eyebrows that connects to the pituitary gland is more than just a concept,
That you can actually be aware of its activity.
Very often as you come back to a deeper communication to the third eye and the activity of the third eye,
There is this sense of light that you can see.
I remember practicing this a long time ago,
This meditation a long time ago and focusing through the third eye and connecting to consciousness through the third eye.
And I remember I was doing this at night,
One in a very special place and it was totally dark,
Totally dark.
I mean there was nothing,
No stars.
It was one of those,
Was in a beautiful place and there was just,
There was no light.
And I remember sitting there and thinking gosh it's so light but I didn't realize you know there was no light outside,
No external light source.
Just oh it's so light and then all of a sudden you know how meditation is,
You know you are caught in the moment so you're not really sort of analyzing the situation from future past perspective,
You're just sort of in that moment.
And I remember thinking oh that is my own inner light.
This is the light that Rumi speaks about.
The eye that he's talking about is the third eye and there is an inner light in the pituitary gland that really begins to shine in your physical body but also begins to shine in the manifestation that is life around you,
So in your physical body and also the energy that is around your physical body.
This is why some people say they see auras or you know in some of the ancient traditions,
Christianity and other religions,
There is sort of an aura glow around certain people,
Saints or wise people,
But anyone can have that glow simply by activating the energy of the third eye.
So this is what is very useful to understand.
The energy of the third eye is a state of lightness but also is a physical aspect of light.
So you this is why when you repeat the mantra within,
Often I say it's a combination of the vibration of light and the vibration of sound and that is the creative universal energy that allows for us to transcend to a state of deep inner consciousness and the light we can imagine as a physical state within our bodies or we can see this light and very often it's useful to see this light in the third eye.
So when sitting in meditation today as we now put this into practice,
When closing the eyes and sitting in meditation,
It's important to know that this is not just a mental concept or an imaginary situation but actually you're connecting to the physical light that you are as you close your eyes,
You are sort of seeing filtered through the space between the eyebrows,
The third eye,
And you're connecting this energy not just to your mind because that's where it naturally goes and it's fine for it to go there in the beginning.
So it's almost as if you're pulling the energy in as you breathe in,
You're pulling the energy in through the third eye and that goes to the point,
The pituitary pineal gland,
The point in the middle of the cranium.
So just somewhere in the middle of the brain you can imagine this magnetic resonance in the middle of the brain pulling the light that you visualize or that you see or that you sense or that you imagine in through the third eye to the middle part of the brain.
And this already allows,
If you do this,
Already allows for a state of sort of expansion or a state of,
Wow,
I feel like connected.
You just pull in the light that Rumi is speaking about,
The light of consciousness,
In through the third eye as you breathe in.
So as you breathe in you're pulling the light and you're magnetizing that towards the pituitary pineal gland.
You're breathing out and relaxing,
You know,
It's an enjoyable state of meditational practice.
So you're relaxing and then you continue breathing in this beautiful light into your body and breathing out.
See,
Then there will be a build up of lightness.
Some people feel lightheaded,
Some people feel just very expansive.
But it's important,
As Rumi says,
To bring this light down to the heart.
Because we don't want to activate the ego mind or the mind that is so very clever,
The subconscious mind and various aspects of our belief systems.
We don't want to activate that with energy.
So we're focusing the energy and allowing that focus to come back to the heart.
Now we can imagine the heart to be physically down in where the heart is.
So we're pulling the energy down towards the heart area.
So you breathe in and breathe out.
The energy flows through the third eye,
To the midst of the cranium,
The midst of the head area,
And then further down towards the heart.
As you breathe out,
You're just letting go and grounding yourself to the earth and just saying,
It's wonderful to be alive.
It's wonderful to be here and to be able to see this through the light of consciousness and to experience this through the depth of my heart and to connect to this wonderful experience of positivity,
Bliss,
Just by being here,
Present,
Now.
That's a wonderful sensation.
And as you continue to breathe in and breathe out,
Allow yourself to come back to the stillness and the depth of this meditational practice.
Deep breath.
Deep breath.
So wonderful to continue this meditation.
Deep breath throughout your body and just expanding the light so that you experience the light as not just a physical sensation but also as an emotional mental energetic experience.
So the lightness of consciousness touches all aspects of your being.
Deep breath.
A wonderful practice to continue now for the next few moments.
And stillness.
Deep breath.
Focusing the energy through the third eye to the midst of the brain.
Sensing the pituitary pineal gland expand and become more active and regenerate,
Pulling the energy down towards the heart and just breathing out,
Relaxing and expanding into the well-being that is the positive healing that you're now encouraging within and also encouraging outside of yourself.
Everything changes.
As consciousness changes within,
The manifestation of consciousness outside begins to change.
Deep breath as you continue.
Thank you.
