It can feel suffocating and hopeless to live in such a connected world that offers constant information about the problems and tragedies we face. This meditation offers space to pause and learn how to allow good back into the mind and body. And from here, we brighten our piece of the world and show up as our good selves.

For the next few minutes,

I want you to give yourself permission.

Permission to let all the problems of the world,

Whether they directly impact you or not,

Let them fly out the window of your home.

Each exhale,

Taking them out of your body,

Out of your mind,

Out of this space.

One by one,

Send it all away.

Now breathe in.

Notice the space available.

Let your belly fill with fresh air.

Send it into your ribs,

Into your back.

Let your shoulders slowly roll and drop down.

Relax your palms,

Your fingers,

Your hips,

Your feet,

Your eyebrows.

Notice any other areas of tension and permit them to drop,

To fall,

To be still,

To feel safe.

Send in another deep breath,

Allowing it to land wherever it chooses.

Feel all the space you have inside.

Let yourself be in this space.

Letting any thoughts that come up be here too.

There's plenty of room for them as you focus on the sensations of your body relaxing.

Now choose one of the following feelings.

Gratitude,

Love,

Beauty,

Humor.

Gratitude,

Love,

Beauty,

Or humor.

Choose one and imagine something or someone in your life that sparks this feeling for you.

Draw in this image on your next inhale.

Imagine your chest a warm glow with any color of your choosing.

Allow your lips to curl up,

A soft smile rising across your beautiful face.

Notice how good this feels like a sunrise happening from within.

Let yourself feel warm.

Feel light.

It is okay to let yourself feel good.

To hold this feeling with importance.

To let the warmth in.

We all have the right to feel this way.

It could even be the only way we survive such dark times by cultivating our light.

And from here,

We brighten our piece of the world and show up as our good selves.

For one another,

For ourselves,

We let the good in.
