Hi,
I'm Tracy Salisbury and I will be guiding you through a meditation on managing anxiety.
We consume so much information,
Emotions,
And energy throughout the day from our families to work to social media.
You deserve this break to release those thoughts and energies that get stuck in our body and nervous system.
Start by finding a position where you feel relaxed.
You can lay down or sit upright in a chair.
Feel the weight of your body sinking in.
Now gently close your eyes and let go of any pressure or expectation for what will happen in this moment.
Let's take a moment to do a grounding check-in to see how you're feeling.
Just notice if you're feeling any tension in your body,
Anywhere that you're holding energy in your body,
And send breath to those spaces.
Imagine releasing and flushing that tension out.
Now take a deep breath in.
Feel your body expand as you fill your belly with air and take a deep exhale out of your mouth as you release.
Try to soften any tension in your body and if it's not going away immediately that's okay.
The work you are doing now is powerful.
You are changing even if you cannot feel it.
Growth and change occur in small instances.
Let's take another deep breath in.
Feel your body expand as you fill your belly with air and take a deep exhale out of your mouth as you release any worry.
Take another deep breath in feel your body expand as you fill your belly with air and take a deep exhale out of your mouth as you release fear.
You are here in this moment and you are okay.
Continue breathing at your own pace.
You are on your own time.
There is no rush.
If your mind wanders that's okay.
The mind wanders.
Remind yourself that you are not your thoughts and return back to noticing your breath.
As you move throughout the rest of your day use those affirmations as an anchor to settle your body and bring you back to this calming space that you have just cultivated.

Keep repeating that to yourself.
I am here in this moment.
I am okay.
When you're ready gently open your eyes and let's repeat that affirmation one last time.
