This onyx gem meditation serves to increase a distinct sense of grounding by strengthening your root chakra.
Begin by coming into the breath.
Feeling the air as it comes in through your nose,
Expanding your chest and your abdomen.
Opening your exhale as it leaves your body,
Allowing your body to feel heavy.
In particular,
Bringing focus and weight and attention to your feet.
Feeling the weight of your feet and imagining as if you're standing barefoot upon dark onyx rock.
Imagine feeling your bare skin against the stone from each and every toe to the ball of your foot and your heel.
Feeling the feet in firm and complete contact with onyx.
As you feel yourself standing upon the rock with eyes closed,
Notice that there's no wobbling or wavering.
Your feet are firmly planted.
Your ankles are stable.
Your knees,
Your thighs,
Your glutes are strong and your pelvis balanced.
Coming into your lower body,
Your physical foundation,
Recognizing its strength.
Starting to focus on your breath,
Particularly your inhale,
Imagining inhaling energy up from the onyx rock,
Moving up through your feet and the root chakra.
Not forcing,
But with each successive inhale,
Feeling onyx energy rise higher and higher until eventually you feel onyx reaches and enters the pelvis.
Watching the onyx energy rise evenly between both legs.
As onyx energy enters into the pelvis,
Switching your focus to your exhale and your attention on the origin of the root chakra.
This luminous ball of light coming off the tailbone,
Just off the tip of the tailbone.
And as you now focus on your exhale,
Imagine bringing that light from the origin of your root chakra down your body,
Down your legs.
Again,
Not forcing the energy down,
But just allowing through each successive exhale as that energy travels down the legs toward the feet and eventually radiating out through the bottoms of the feet and driving deep into the onyx rock and the earth.
When you feel the energy coming out from the bottoms of your feet,
Now starting to give equal focus to both your inhale and your exhale.
Inhaling onyx energy straight up from the bottoms of the feet,
Flowing directly into the pelvis.
Exhaling energy from the origin of the root chakra down through your body,
Driving deep into the onyx rock.
And allow yourself to stay with this breath,
Feeling that fluid and continuous cycle in one fluid movement.
Enabling the entirety of this essential grounding cycle of energy.
As you come fully into your grounding cycle,
Turning your attention back to the origin point of the root chakra just off the tip of the tailbone.
And from that origin point,
Seeing a single line of energy drawn straight down like an anchor,
A line of an anchor running in between the legs,
Stretching beyond the feet and planted into the rock,
The earth.
Again,
Anchoring,
Centering your body's energy.
Feeling this distinct sense of centeredness and weight in the lower half of your body that in contrast helps the upper half of the body feel light,
Unburdened,
And clear.
When you feel this true sense of grounding,
You can appreciate how light and free you feel while still feeling centered and stable.
When you're ready,
Opening the eyes.
