This meditation is for the part of you still holding on, still hoping to be chosen by someone who isn’t choosing you.
You’re not here to force letting go; you’re here to understand what the heart is still asking for and to bring your energy back home. Through gentle breathwork and body awareness, you’ll calm your nervous system, honor the anger, sadness, and attachment beneath the pain, and find the wisdom inside it.
You’ll be guided to release the energetic cord with compassion, not by cutting off love, but by reclaiming your power and peace. This practice helps you return to yourself, choose your own heart, and remember that true love never requires self-abandonment. Let go softly. Come home to you.

Welcome!

This meditation is for the part of you still holding on,

Still waiting,

Still hoping for something to return to you.

We are not here to force letting go,

We are here to listen,

To understand and to bring your energy back home to you.

Find a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down.

Let your shoulders drop,

Let your jaw soften,

Let your belly loosen.

When you are ready,

Close your eyes,

Take a slow breath in through your nose and a soft,

Unforced exhale through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale and exhale.

Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.

Feel the weight of your body being held,

Supported with our effort.

Nothing is required of you here,

Just presence.

Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.

We inhale softly through the nose for four.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And exhale through the mouth for six.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

If the breath length feels too long or too short at any moment,

Adjust it to your needs.

The intention is simply longer exhales than inhales.

Longer exhales activate your parasympathetic nervous system and signal the body that you are safe,

Which lets calm spread through you.

Breathe like this for the next 30 seconds.

Now let the breath return to a natural rhythm.

Bring to mind the feeling of missing them,

Of waiting,

Of wanting to be chosen.

Not the story,

Not the explanation,

Just the feeling.

Where does it live in your body?

The chest,

The ribs,

The throat,

The heart center.

Place your attention there,

Just noticing,

Without changing anything.

Now ask this sensation gently.

Do you have a message for me?

Let whatever arises come softly.

A sensation,

An image,

A knowing,

A whisper of feeling.

Is there anger here?

If so,

Honor it.

Anger teaches boundaries.

Anger says,

I deserved better.

I deserved reciprocity.

I deserved respect.

Let the truth be heard.

Is there sadness here?

If so,

Honor it.

Sadness teaches what mattered.

Sadness says,

I loved,

I cared,

I opened,

That was real.

Let the truth be held.

Is there attachment here?

If so,

Honor it.

Attachment means you were capable of bonding.

Your heart knows how to love deeply.

And perhaps now it is showing where you may be holding on too tightly,

Or trying to let go too quickly.

Just acknowledge this with compassion.

Now gently ask,

What is the lesson here for me?

What am I being asked to integrate?

Maybe the lesson is,

I will no longer wait for love.

I choose people who choose me back.

I protect my heart without closing it.

I can love without abandoning myself.

Whatever arises,

Let it land.

Say softly,

Inside yourself,

Thank you for teaching me.

I understand now.

I am ready to move forward.

Now imagine a subtle cord connecting your heart to theirs.

A gentle,

Loving thread.

This cord is not wrong.

It was formed from care,

From love.

Place your hand gently over your heart.

And whisper,

I release you from being the one I wait for.

I release myself from waiting.

Now imagine the cord loosening,

Softly,

Naturally,

Like a ribbon unwinding.

And watch it dissolve.

Not ripped,

Not forced,

Just released.

And see the other person,

Slowly drifting away into open space.

Now see or sense all of the energy that was reaching outward,

Waiting,

Hoping,

Holding,

See it returning back to you.

You may see it as a warm,

Golden light,

Gathering itself and flowing back toward your body.

See it returning to your chest,

Filling the space around your heart with warmth and fullness.

See it returning to your belly,

Bringing steadiness and grounding.

See it returning to your ribs,

Your spine,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Your legs,

Your feet.

Let the golden light fill you.

Feel yourself becoming whole again by coming back to yourself.

There is nothing missing,

Nothing empty.

You are back.

Now place both hands over your heart.

Feel your warmth,

Your presence,

Your life.

Say to yourself gently,

I return to myself.

I choose my peace.

I release the waiting.

I am whole.

I am worthy.

I am home within myself.

Take one final slow,

Nourishing inhale,

Deep,

Releasing exhale.

Wiggle your fingers,

Your toes.

Notice the room around you.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

You didn't let go by force.

You let go by understanding,

By honoring your truth,

By choosing.

Hear yourself.

And this,

This is love.
