Welcome to your meditation to help you slow down and surrender.
When life gets crazy or chaotic,
It feels instinctive to keep going,
To do one more thing,
Put out one more fire.
When in fact,
The best thing that you can do is to slow down.
Because when you slow down,
Your stress decreases,
You decrease anxiety,
And you open yourself up to a connection to that infinite place of creativity and clarity.
Let's begin.
Draw yourself into a comfortable seated position.
Spine tall,
Eyes closed.
Take three releasing breaths to drop in.
First breath,
A long deep inhale through your nose,
Fill up your lungs.
Inhale's at the top.
And then exhale through your mouth,
Sighing it all out.
Noticing the tension releasing from your body,
From the crown of your head to the tops of your shoulders,
And even the inner edges of your legs.
Second releasing breath,
A long deep inhale through your nose,
Filling up your lungs.
Holding at the top.
Don't hold back.
A big sigh out through your mouth as you exhale,
Letting go.
Dropping in.
Noticing yourself a little more grounded,
The sensation of the chair or the ground against your sit bone.
It's almost as if you're growing roots from underneath it,
Anchoring you into this earth.
And final releasing breath,
A long deep inhale through your nose,
Fill up your lungs.
Pause at the top.
And don't hold back,
Exhale,
Sigh out through your mouth.
Dropping into that deepest place of yourself.
You innately know where that is.
Notice the pause in between each breath.
The pause in between each thought.
And as you breathe in this manner full and deep,
The pace begins to slow.
Slow slow.
There's no rush.
At the very least,
There's no rush for the duration of this meditation.
So let yourself be here.
Take a hand and place it right on your heart.
Breathe two breaths into your heart space.
As you turn your attention inward,
Begin to inquire within yourself,
What's happening within me?
Allowing any thoughts,
Images or feelings to surface.
Dropping resistance and dropping any need to analyze or to fix or to make sense of it.
Just allow it to surface.
And then take two more mindful breaths into your heart space.
And see if you can connect and drop in to the place of ever present stillness,
Peace and clarity within you.
That place within you that knows that everything will be okay,
That everything is already okay.
It stands unwavering,
Knowing your truth and recognizes that there is nothing more that you need to do.
There is nobody that you need to try to be.
Because you are enough.
You're more than enough.
There is this innermost deepest part within you that knows your truth and that sees your light.
And in its embrace,
Know that you are safe,
That you are accepted,
That you are loved.
And in its embrace,
You can be honest with yourself as you turn inward and inquire within yourself.
What do I need to let go of right now?
What do I need to let go of right now?
Perhaps it's a belief that you're not good enough.
Or certain expectations that you've put toward a circumstance.
Maybe you need to let go of the notion that you have to do it all.
Or that you're lacking or insufficient in any way.
Guilt,
Shame,
Fear,
Anger.
Say it out loud.
Each of these things that you're ready to let go of.
Or you can say it silently in your mind's eye.
And with each thing that you're willing to let go of.
And gently placing it down a stream of water.
Just watching it float away.
And as these old heavy parts of you float down the stream of water,
Washing away.
Notice yourself getting lighter.
And lighter.
And lighter.
Ah,
Yes,
I do.
And when you've let go of all that you need to,
Come back to this loving embrace of the innermost part of you.
That part of ever-present stillness,
Clarity,
Peace.
That part that knows that you're enough,
That recognizes you're more than enough,
And is in touch with the light that's within you.
And allow that loving and compassionate place to speak to you.
Perhaps you hear it whisper that it is okay.
And that life is unfolding as it needs to be.
Listen to its messages for you and allow yourself to be held and to be nurtured by this place within you.
There's nothing more that you need to be doing.
There's nobody that you need to try to be.
And in this moment,
There is nowhere more perfect for you to be.
There is nothing more perfect for you to do than to just be,
Just breathe.
Slow,
Slow.
Just be.
Just breathe.
Well,
There is.
Long deep inhale.
Long deep exhale.
Begin to open yourself up to your senses.
Arriving back into your seat.
Into this room.
And when you're ready,
Gently flutter your eyes open.
You may want to jot down any insights or messages that you received.
If you're so inclined,
Grab a piece of paper or your journal.
And take a few moments to reflect,
Write it down.
You may want to take a few moments to reflect,
Write it down.
You may want to take a few moments to reflect,
Write it down.
