Welcome.
As you begin this morning,
Take a moment to arrive not into your tasks or responsibilities but into your body,
Your breath and this moment of intention.
Finding a comfortable seated position,
Let your spine rise naturally,
Sitting upright with the chest nice and open.
Let your hands rest where they feel at ease,
Shoulders away from the ears.
Now take a slow breath in through the nose and a steady breath out through the mouth.
Again,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling,
Allowing the body to settle and the mind to soften.
Letting your breath return to its natural pace,
Natural rhythm.
Notice how the breath anchors you,
How it's steady,
How it's present.
Now bring the awareness to the weight of your body,
Feeling your feet connecting with the ground,
Feeling the chair or the floor beneath supporting you.
Let this sense of contact remind you that you are here,
Grounded,
Supported.
Now gently bring the attention inward.
If the mind feels heavy or busy or scattered,
That's okay.
Rather than pushing thoughts away,
Imagine them slowing down so the mind is no longer racing with thoughts but thoughts are coming at a nice and steady pace.
Now bringing your attention back to your breath.
With each inhale,
Feel a subtle sense of clarity rising.
With each exhale,
Allow the mental noise to soften.
Allow the pace of thoughts to slow.
You are here,
You are grounded.
Now bring the mind to the day ahead.
Not the entire list,
Just the next meaningful step ahead.
One task,
One conversation,
One moment where you want to show up with presence and clarity.
I know there may be a lot to do,
Places to go,
Conversations to have,
Things to do but remember that this pace of your breath right now is something you can always come back to.
Every time you feel a little bit overwhelmed or stressed out or feeling like life is moving at a pace too fast,
Know that you can come back to this feeling.
Your breath and your body,
It's something that carries you and something that you always have access to.
Take a deep full inhale in through the nose and as you exhale,
Sigh everything out.
As you open your eyes,
Carry this focused presence into your day.
While some things need urgency,
Most things don't and clarity comes from fully being present in the moment.
Thank you for your time and for practicing with me today.
I wish you a great day ahead.
