Hello,

This is Wendy Dixon and welcome to your calm meditation.

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either sitting with a straight spine or lying down with your arms gently resting at your sides.

Take a moment to settle into your space and as you do this just allow any tension in your body to be released.

Release and relax,

Relax and release.

Close your eyes softly and then turn your attention inward.

Start to bring your awareness to your breath.

Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose,

Feeling the cool air enter in your body.

And exhale slowly and completely through your mouth.

And each time you do this allow yourself to let go of even more tension or stress that you may be carrying in your body.

Breathing in deeply into the lungs,

Feeling the cold air enter in your body and then allowing yourself to slowly exhale slowly and completely through your mouth.

Releasing all of that tension.

As you continue to breathe imagine a soft warm light surrounding you.

This light represents tranquility and calmness.

With each breath that you take visualize this soothing light expanding and creating a sense of peace that gently envelops your entire being.

Now shift your awareness to your body and begin with your toes and gradually move up and down.

Through your feet,

Ankles and calves.

With each breath release any tightness or discomfort.

Picture this wonderful calming light bathing each part of your body and melting away any tension.

Move your attention now to your knees,

Thighs and hips and feel the gentle warmth of the light as it brings a sense of relaxation to these areas.

Allow your muscles to soften.

Soften and let go.

Let go of all that tension feeling that wonderful calm energy as it surrounds you.

Continue this journey of relaxation as you focus on your abdomen and lower back.

Feel the rise and fall of your breath allowing the soothing light to ease any tension in this area.

Now bring in your attention to your chest and upper back.

Sense the calming light expanding with each breath creating a peaceful and open space within.

Feel the gentle expansion of your rib cage with each inhale and the release of tension with each exhale.

Slowly moving your attention now to your shoulders just allowing them to drop and relax and releasing any stored tension.

Allow yourself to visualize the calming light gently massaging away any stress in this area.

Shifting your focus to your arms starting from your fingertips and moving up through your wrists,

Forearms and elbows.

Feel the beautiful soothing light bringing that sense of tranquility and calm light bringing that sense of tranquility and calm to each and every part of your arms,

To each and every one of your fingers.

Now bring your awareness to your neck and throat.

Allow the calming light to dissolve any tightness or discomfort creating a soft and relaxed sensation.

Move up to your face,

Relaxing your jaw and softening your eyes,

Releasing any tension in your forehead and feeling the entire facial area becoming smooth and at ease.

Just take a few moments now to simply be present with your breath.

Simply be present with your breath.

Your breath and that wonderful comforting light.

Enjoying the stillness,

Calm and peace that surrounds you.

Just take a few moments right now.

As you sit in this wonderful calm and relaxed energy,

Feel how calm and relaxed your body feels.

With each breath that you take,

You feel that calmness becoming more and more as your body becomes more and more relaxed.

Feeling at one in this moment,

Right now.

And as you conclude the meditation,

Gently bring your awareness back to the room,

Slowly opening your eyes and feeling calm,

Centered and rejuvenated.

Continue to carry this sense of tranquility with you as you move through the rest of your day.

And remember,

You can return to this meditation whenever you need a moment of calm and relaxation.

Thank you.

Hope you have a wonderful day today.

A wonderful calm and relaxing day.

Namaste.
