The summer solstice can inspire us with its vibrancy and energy, and remind us that the only constant changes. We can draw on those qualities to help us with a question or problem we have. We can ask our central I, our inner core, for an answer and listen carefully to what our intuition has to say. We need to become quiet and still for this inner voice to be more audible. Happy solstice wishes to you! Photo by Noah Buscher on Unsplash

Let's get comfortable.

Arms and legs somewhere they can rest for a little while.

Firmly in the back of your chair and we're going to lengthen our spine a little bit so we can breathe easily.

And as we exhale next,

Soften into our seat a little bit so we're comfortable.

Let's bring the attention inwards.

Let the world manage without us for a while.

We're going to allow our bodies to relax physically.

So let's imagine a wave of relaxation starting at the crown of our head.

It's going to flow down our body.

Our forehead,

Our eyes,

Our scalp,

Our jaw,

Softening our neck.

Let's put our head just at the top of our spine so our neck can be neutral.

Shoulders just hanging without tension.

Arms resting in our lap,

Hands quiet and still.

Our chest comfortable,

Belly still quiet.

Our thighs,

Buttocks just holding us up without tension.

Lower legs and feet in a neutral comfortable position.

Whole body just having a little look around see if there's any remaining bits of tension somewhere and we let it melt away.

Mentally now we're going to mentally relax.

So we're going to put ourselves in a place we love to be.

It doesn't matter where it is.

What's important is that we feel great there.

Completely at ease.

Feel how it feels.

See what you see.

Hear,

Smell,

Touch,

Taste.

Form of a indirect sensation.

So our body and our mind are quieter,

More relaxed.

We'll have an energetic reset as well.

So using our imagination and visualising our energy field around us.

And it might be shrunken into our body or it might be far away and dispersed.

But we're going to use our imagination.

And imagine placing it back roughly arm's length from our body.

Imagine gently forming it into place.

Anxiety and worry can cause that to shrink right into our bodies.

Just gently push it into place.

Just check for holes,

There may be holes.

Smoothing it into place.

Smoothing any holes back into place.

We can sew that up with a golden thread or any other means of repair that feels good for you.

Let's give it a bit of a polish.

So imagining our aura becoming cleaner,

Brighter and sparkly.

And we can check in with how it feels to do these things.

Bringing our attention now to the centre of our being.

And we're going to imagine the breath flowing through our centre.

Back and forth.

Bringing focus and attention.

To our very core.

And I invite you to explore how that part of you feels.

This is the home of our soul self,

Our divine spark.

Sometimes it's covered up by chatter and clutter and activity and noise.

But we can become still and quiet and feel it access that wisdom.

And I don't wish to suggest it's better than any other bit of us.

A mind gets a bad rap.

A trained mind.

A one that's not driven mad by fear.

Working in harmony with our heart.

So powerful.

So we need both.

But we may need to learn to become quiet.

To access this part of us.

So as best you can,

Feel how your very centre feels.

And if your mind wanders,

We just come back.

And without fuss,

Just return.

The more we train our mind to be quiet,

On demand.

Train our body to be peaceful,

On demand.

The more access we have to this centre place.

The more it becomes part of our life.

I'm going to invite you to ask your question of your soul centre.

Be very alert as you ask your question.

But the reply may come even before you've finished asking,

Asking the question.

It may be slow and quiet.

Just listen.

You may be able to dialogue with this part of you.

Accept welcome.

Be grateful for whatever comes back.

Today I'm going to honour the solstice energies.

At the summer solstice,

Nature is at the peak of its strength.

The height of its power.

The most light.

I want you to breathe that in.

And even at its peak,

It begins to change.

To a new season.

The light starts to slowly decrease.

As slowly flower rolls,

Turns into the seed.

I invite you to feel that energy,

Strength and change.

Draw it into the question you asked.

The problem you have brought to this practice.

The vibrancy of summer.

The strength of our energy.

And a continual change if that is what you choose.

Feeling in the vibrancy of the natural world at its peak.

And feeling how that feels.

And if we so choose,

Allowing ourselves to be carried with the changing seasons into something new.

And feeling how that feels.

Resting for a moment.

And we will gradually begin to return.

Return to our waking state of consciousness.

So a few deeper breaths to energise the body.

And mobilise our body.

Gradually moving.

Moving all our limbs.

Having little stretches.

I'm going to count from one to five as we return to our waking state of consciousness.

One to allowing our body to be mobile.

Becoming aware of the space around us.

Three,

Four,

Opening our eyes when we're ready.

And five.

Thank you for practicing with me.
