You you Let's begin by finding a comfortable seated or lying position Allowing your spine to be nice and long Start to bring your focus to your breath Not changing anything about the breath here Just beginning to notice it Start to feel into your natural breathing process Noticing whether your breath is long or short Fast or slow Shallow or deep Notice the sensations felt with each inhalation The cool air entering the rims of the nostrils The expansion of the belly and the chest With each inhalation,

Allow your heart to open a little more Allow your shoulders to roll back and down Presenting a proud chest and an open heart Now begin to notice the sensations felt with each exhalation The warm air as it exits the rims of the nostrils The warm air as it exits the rims of the nostrils Allow each exhalation to be an opportunity for self-inquiry Looking with each inhale The warm air as it exits the rims of the nostrils The retraction of the belly and the chest Allow each exhalation to be an opportunity for self-inquiry,

Looking within Exploring the parts of you that are closed off As you continue to examine your breath and its intricacies Your breath may begin to slow Offering more time and more opportunities to explore Opportunities to explore how you could be more open Take a few moments now to explore which of these areas of your life do you close off Dismiss,

Deny or shut down and why this may be Exploring what brought you here today Where do you need to be more open in your life?

We often find that when we are dismissive,

It's because we are scared What is it that scares you?

What are you afraid might happen if you were less dismissive?

Would people see a different side to you?

Would you have an opportunity to fail?

Would you have an opportunity to succeed?

Would you find the real you that's been trapped somewhere for so long?

Are you scared that things will change?

Or maybe you're scared that things will stay the same?

Just taking a few moments now to explore these questions This can be quite a lot to unpack It can be uncomfortable learning about ourselves Shining a torch on the less desirable parts of ourselves The vulnerable parts The parts we try to hide from others and from ourselves The important thing here is not to hide from what you find Embrace it with open arms If some part of you makes you feel uncomfortable,

Explore it a little more thoroughly Learn to understand it Learn to befriend it Own it It's yours Look at why it makes you feel uncomfortable Is it unnecessary pressures that you believe society,

Your friends,

Colleagues or your family have put on you?

Or is it really unnecessary pressures that you have put upon yourself?

Now let's revisit back to our breath again Noticing the speed of your breath The depth of the breath The length of the breath Noticing whether there is more emphasis on the inhalation or the exhalation Now how can you use all of this new information To be more open,

More transparent How can you use what you've learned about yourself to be less dismissive of yourself and of others How can you be more open to the opportunities that are presented to you The possibilities of each new day Now start to bring your awareness back to your surroundings Back to your body,

Sitting or laying And begin to reel the fingers and the toes Gently blink the eyes open and welcome in the new day with this new found self-awareness Gently blink the eyes open and welcome in the new day with this new found self-awareness
