This is a guided meditation to help us find peace and a moment of stillness in our day.
Find a comfortable position sitting or lying down.
Close any distractions and get comfortable.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Another deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Take inventory of the body.
Notice the spots where there might be tightness.
Notice the spots that feel really nice.
And as you breathe,
Call all your energy back into your body from all of your day's activities.
In this time,
We may have a lot on our to-do list,
A lot of activities during the day.
But in between those activities and all the busyness,
We can find a moment to just be.
Take this time to just enjoy watching your breath,
Letting your breath slow down.
Being in your body and just noticing how that feels.
How do you feel in your body?
Deep breath in through the nose and out through the nose.
Eventually we'll all be back into a routine.
Let this be a time to be,
To relax,
And to soak in the present moment in a way that maybe we never have before.
Breathe in through the nose and out through the nose.
How can you just be today?
Let's start by just noticing,
Bring some awareness to your surroundings,
Keeping your eyes closed.
But just notice what sounds do you hear,
What's the temperature of the room,
What does the surface you're sitting on or lying on feel like?
Deep breath in through the nose,
Out through the nose.
Feel it in your body.
Bring some appreciation for your body,
Allowing you to do this practice,
Allowing you to stop,
Slow down,
And just appreciate the present moment,
Knowing that this is possible at any time.
Deep breath in through the nose and out through the nose.
Just breathe.
It's safe to breathe.
Breathe deeply.
Take the deepest breath you've taken all day and let it go.
There's few things that we can change about our circumstances,
But there is quite a lot that we can do to accept.
Accept the way things are,
Accept the way our body is,
Accept this new pace of life.
And as you think about this,
Just let your whole face smile,
Let all the muscles in your face relax.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the nose.
Notice what it feels like to have this acceptance in your heart.
Where in your life can you accept more and resist less?
Accept more and resist less.
Deep breath in,
Open the mouth,
Sigh it out.
