Welcome to this guided meditation.
My name is Yogi Brian and it's time to boost your mood.
Do this meditation daily for maximum benefit because if you do this daily it'll build a habit for your mind and for your body to feel better and better and be more and more grateful every single day because an attitude of gratitude is powerful and you want to feel good.
Yes you do.
So join me in this guided meditation now.
Find a place to meditate.
You can do this seated or on a chair,
Meditation cushion,
Anywhere where you can keep your body still.
Once you find that place,
Softly gently close your eyes and as you softly gently close your eyes,
You start to relax.
You start to arrive here to the present moment and my voice allows you to settle and my voice allows you to relax.
So just allow yourself to settle and during this meditation all you have to do is breathe and listen to the sound of my voice.
That's it.
And if your mind wanders that's okay.
Just come back to the sound of my voice.
That's all you have to do.
So just allow yourself to settle.
Your natural breath in and out,
Allowing your body to settle and inviting your mind to meet your body.
Say hey mind,
Come on back to this body.
Come on back to the present moment.
Just breathing your natural breath and just notice your breathing.
Observe your breath.
Notice your inhale and your exhale.
Be in the witness to your breathing and just noticing how your breath feels.
Is it smooth or choppy?
Deep or shallow?
Ask yourself how does my breath feel and now start to deepen your breathing.
Deepening your inhale and your exhale.
Nice and deep breaths.
Deep inhales and deep exhales and you start to notice you're here in the present moment.
You start to notice your muscles are softening.
Your whole body is softening.
You're starting to relax.
Deepening your breath.
Nice and smooth.
In and out.
Finding that comfortable,
Steady,
Natural and intuitive breath.
Now bring your attention and awareness to your body and just notice this body.
Be aware of your body and take a scan of your body from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes and as you scan your body notice any tension you feel in your body and once you know exactly where that tension is,
Send your breath to that tension.
Send your awareness to that tension.
Once you send your breath to that tension,
Once you send your awareness to that tension,
Your body knows exactly how to release that tension.
So allow your body to do what it naturally does.
Relaxing that tension.
Releasing that tension.
Whole body starts to relax.
Feeling a wave of relaxation all the way up and all the way down.
Down and down.
Relaxing more and more.
And now start to smile.
Start to smile even if you have to fake it.
Start to smile boosting your mood.
Starting to smile.
Boosting that mood.
Smiling more and more.
Thinking of something that's funny.
Smiling more and more.
If you can't think of anything just fake that smile.
Fake that smile because what you do with your body affects your mind.
So as you're faking the smile or smiling you start to feel better.
Your mood is boosting.
You feel your mood boosting.
Yes you do.
Keep smiling.
Keep smiling.
Keep smiling.
Keep smiling.
More and more.
Bigger smile.
Bigger smile.
Yes.
Bigger smile.
The biggest smile right now.
That's right.
Now you can release your smile and notice how you feel.
Mood feels better.
Mood is elevated.
Feeling so good.
That's right.
And in just a moment I wonder if you can think of just one thing you're grateful for.
The first thing that comes to your mind.
It could be a person,
A situation,
A place,
A feeling.
But in just a moment you'll see it in your mind's eye.
This thing you're grateful for.
You'll see it.
You'll feel it.
Like it's here right now.
Now think of that thing you're grateful for.
See it in your mind's eye.
Using all your senses.
See it.
Feel it.
Hear it.
Smell it.
See this thing you're grateful for right now.
And now allow that picture to fade away but stay with the feeling of this gratitude.
Allow the picture to fade away but stay with the feeling of this gratitude in your body.
And notice where you feel this gratitude.
Pinpoint it.
Locate it.
Where do you feel this gratitude in your body?
Some people feel it in their throat or heart space or stomach or hands or feet.
Where do you feel this feeling of gratitude?
Once you know exactly where it is,
You may start to see a color.
First color that comes to your mind.
First color you see.
Could be one color or multiple colors.
Or maybe you don't see a color at all.
And that's okay.
Just stay with the feeling.
But if you were to see a color,
What color would it be?
See this color.
Feel this color in your body.
This gratitude.
This feeling.
Feels so good.
And now allow this color to float out of your body over your head.
And this color,
This gratitude starts to expand.
It starts to fill up your entire space,
Your entire room.
From wall to wall,
Floor to ceiling.
This color of gratitude,
This feeling of gratitude surrounds you.
Fills up this entire room,
This entire space.
And it starts to rain down on your body.
Filling up your body with gratitude.
Every single cell,
Every single muscle fiber full of gratitude.
All this gratitude,
All this color,
Even in your bones,
Your nerves,
Your whole body.
Breathing it all in.
Breathing this gratitude all in.
You may start to feel it tingling up and down your spine.
You start to feel warmth or heat.
You may start to laugh.
Feeling this gratitude all throughout your body.
Boosting your mood.
Attitude of gratitude.
I'm just taking some time right now to feel this gratitude.
And as you feel this feeling,
Say this affirmation silently to yourself.
I seek gratitude throughout my day today.
I seek gratitude throughout my day today.
I seek gratitude throughout my day today.
And allow this affirmation to sink deep into your heart space.
Like you're planting a seed.
This affirmation sinks deep into your heart space.
Plant that seed.
It's like you're downloading a computer program or downloading an app on your phone.
Plant this affirmation deep into your heart space.
And it'll grow throughout the day.
And whenever you need a mood booster,
You realize this affirmations there.
And you realize you're so grateful.
Because you have so much to be grateful for.
Yes you do.
So take this feeling with you throughout the rest of your day.
And come back to it.
And you can remain in this meditation as long as you like.
There's no rush.
