This is a guided meditation for finding a bit of freedom in your mind,

Your spirit,

And any piece of you that feels a bit wound or stuck.

So we start by coming into a comfortable position of your choice.

And then give yourself an allowance to be welcomed into this present moment.

And before we begin,

Remind yourself that this time is for you and you alone.

No distractions,

No concerns,

No to-do list to interfere with your time.

Give yourself this gift a few moments in the day that are solely yours.

Again,

Make sure that you're comfortable.

Got no fabric bunched up underneath you to distract you.

Your limbs are covered with as much fabric as they need.

You might even take a moment to straighten your back or trace a few gentle circles with your nose,

Just relaxing the neck and the cheeks.

Once you've reached a place of stillness,

Just begin to deepen your breath.

I have no preference on how you choose to take that breath in and out of your body,

But be aware of it.

Know that sensation of filling and emptying,

Of lightness and heaviness.

Turn your awareness to the ground beneath you,

Firm and strong.

And as you continue to breathe,

Travel from the crown of your head,

The very top of your head,

Down your body towards your feet.

Starting with the crown,

Feel the crown grow light like a feather and carry that sensation down your body,

Down the forehead,

Your mouth.

Feel the rib cage loosen,

Float upwards.

And as you breathe,

It becomes harder and harder to keep yourself anchored to the ground as you free the upper body being pulled towards the sky.

Resist it as you travel down the arms and the belly.

And when you reach your hips,

Visualize two tight locks between them.

They begin to unscrew themselves and on the count of three,

They burst open.

One,

Two,

Three.

Go through the rest of your body and gently release it.

Your thighs,

Your knees,

All the way down to your feet.

A mental countdown from the big toe to the pinky.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Feel that pinky loosen and let go.

Five,

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.

You're free.
