Breath work for the heart and mind.

To begin,

Settle into your seat,

And as you feel your breath enter your body,

Allow it to fill up every space,

And as you exhale,

Feel your body slowly relaxing deeper and deeper into your seat.

Let's begin with the breathing triangle,

Taking a 5 second inhale,

5 second exhale,

And a 5 second hold,

And again,

Breathe it in,

And exhale,

And hold,

Breathe it in,

And exhale,

And hold,

Breathe it in,

And exhale,

And hold,

Last one,

Breathe it in,

And exhale,

And exhale,

And hold,

And relax.

Our next exercise,

We will be breathing into the belly,

Then the heart,

And lastly,

The third eye right at the forehead,

Inhaling through the mouth,

Filling up the belly,

And exhaling,

And holding our awareness on the belly.

And finally,

Just relax.

Returning to your normal pattern of breathing.

And just once again becoming aware of the body.

What are you feeling?

How are you feeling?

And where are you feeling?

What sensations are there?

Do you notice a texture,

Size,

Shape,

Color,

Or temperature?

Just noticing.

Nothing to change and nothing to fix.

You can stay in this restful relaxation for as long as you need.

Thank you for listening,

And I'll be with you next time.

Until then,

I love you,

And I love me.

This was a difficult practice but well worth it. I will return to it because it left me both relaxed and energized. A great way to start the day.
