When your mind feels like a browser with 100 tabs open, this simple practice helps gently close them in a few minutes. We’ll use touch + breath to shift from frazzled to flow, then widen your gaze to ‘unstick’ mental clutter. Ideal before work, study, or anytime focus feels forced. No straining—just a return to natural clarity. This tool become more effective with practice. As with anything new, start small using it occasionally and then building up the frequency over time.

Hello this is Zia.

Let's take the next few minutes to calm your mind into a state of flow and focus.

Begin by resting your fingertips lightly on your temples.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale trace small circles here.

Slowly,

Gently,

Softly.

You might like to notice the speed with which you trace the circles and how it changes.

Let this touch remind your nervous system.

You don't need urgency to think clearly.

Again,

Breathe in and exhale as your fingers smooth the space around your mind.

Feel how just this simple contact begins to quiet the static.

Now,

Place your palms flat on your desk or your thighs.

Press down gently.

Notice how the solid surface holds you.

With each exhale,

Imagine sending any jittery energy into that support.

Your hands like roots,

Steadying the flutter of thoughts.

Softly lift your gaze to the horizon,

Real or in your mind's eye.

Let your vision widen,

Taking in light shapes without fixing on anything.

Your mind is like the sky.

Thoughts passing like birds,

Never needing to land.

Breath by breath,

The clutter settles,

Leaving only clean,

Open attention.

Your nervous system is learning.

Focus feels like ease,

Not force.

Each time your shoulders drop,

Each time your jaw unclenches,

You're rewiring the old story that says,

I must tense up to think.

Notice how you can let yourself relax deeper and deeper.

When you're ready,

Let your hands return to the keyboard or the page or to whatever task you need to return to.

Carry this quiet alertness with you,

Like a sunlit stream.

Clear,

Flowing,

Ready.
