Sit or lie in a comfortable position and make sure you can't be disturbed for the next couple of minutes.
If you're ready,
Close your eyes and start with taking a deep breath in via your nose.
Hold for four seconds and exhale and let go.
And we're going to do that again.
So inhale via your nose in four seconds,
Hold for four seconds and let go in four seconds as well.
And have a small check in with yourself.
How are you feeling at this moment?
Is there anything in your body that is seeking for attention,
That is wanting to be noticed?
And if so,
Just be with that feeling,
Without wanting to change it.
Thank this feeling for showing itself,
For letting itself be seen.
And at this moment,
You can imagine being in a very happy,
Warm and safe space for you.
And notice what you see around you,
What you hear,
What you can even smell or taste.
And then you see a woman walking towards you.
And when she comes closer,
You can see that this is your mother.
She stops at the perfect distance for you.
Just take the time to look at her in her eyes,
If possible.
And just notice how you feel.
And you can repeat after me.
You can do this out loud or in your mind.
And say,
Dear Mother or Mum,
However you call her.
You are my mother.
And I am your daughter or son.
You are the big one.
And I am the small one.
And you are the only right mother for me.
I've missed you as my mother.
And what I'm carrying here is a feeling of you feeling what this feeling is for you.
Maybe it's a feeling of responsibility,
Grief,
Anger,
Blame,
Pain,
Shame,
Anxiety.
What is it for you?
And then you can say,
But this feeling isn't mine.
And during the next saying,
You imagine giving it back to her.
You say,
This feeling that I am carrying here isn't mine.
I am giving it back to you.
And whether she's able to receive it or not is not up to you.
This is about you giving this feeling back.
You can take a step back and notice how you feel.
And then look at your mother.
And look at her and see all of her.
All of her loving ways and all of her less loving ways.
Everything that she has experienced to be the woman she is now.
You take another step back.
And you leave what is your mother's.
And you take what is yours,
Which belongs to your fate.
Take a deep breath.
Look at your mother.
And say,
Look lovingly to me.
When I walk my own journey.
And then you turn around.
And look into your future that lies ahead of you.
This is yours.
Waiting for you to step into.
With loads of beautiful moments waiting for you.

Look at your feet.
And you see that your leg comes up and wants to take a first step.
And this is your first step to take.
