This gentle grounding meditation is an invitation to slow down and notice how rejection is showing up in your body. I want to invite you to pause and notice what do you think of when you hear the word rejection?

What is your definition of rejection?

Notice the thoughts that come up and also notice the actions you feel pulled to do when rejection is present.

Do you want to withdraw,

Push through,

Explain yourself,

Shut down,

Or prove something?

There's no need to judge any of it.

Just notice.

This reflection is about slowing the process down and letting the body speak first,

Beginning with three deep breaths,

Slowly breathing in from your feet,

Moving upward through your body,

And as you release,

Visualizing that breath leaving.

Again,

Breathing in from the feet,

Settling more deeply into the support beneath you and one more time,

Breathing in and scanning your body.

Breathing in the last time,

Deeply from your feet,

Scanning your body,

Noticing anything that feels heavier,

Blocked,

Or stuck.

As rejection comes back into your awareness,

Notice,

Where do you feel it in your body?

Keeping your eyes closed,

If that is safe for you,

Scan gently.

There's no rush here.

If you feel comfortable,

You might even process out loud.

If thoughts,

Emotions,

Or energy shows up,

The invitation isn't to push that away,

But to lean in and breathe through.

Continue breathing,

Deep breaths.

From here,

Curiosity opens the door.

What is the shape of this feeling?

What color comes to mind?

Is there movement?

Is there weight?

Is there anything else you notice about this shape?

Where is it located?

As you take a deep breath in and notice the shape,

Give it attention,

And if this shape could say something about rejection,

What would it want to say?

Let it speak fully.

Let it speak freely.

Let it finish.

Continue taking a deep breath in and out,

Allowing it,

This shape,

To say what it needs to say.

On the next breath,

Gently ask,

What is the truth?

Not the story,

Not the fear,

The truth,

And as you hear it,

Say it back to yourself a few times,

Breathing in and out,

Repeating this truth.

Breathing in,

Notice the first image that comes to mind,

And breathing out,

Notice the first word that stays with you.

Hold them lightly.

Send them light,

Love,

And bind the truth as you take a deep breath in and hold that close.

As you hold them lightly,

Check back in with your body,

And notice if anything has shifted,

Even just a little,

And as you take a nice,

Final deep breath in and out,

Repeating the truth,

Holding the image and the word close,

Take a moment to realize this isn't about fixing rejection or making it disappear.

It's about listening and letting what's been held have a voice.

It's letting the body process what the mind often rushes past.

With the final breath in and out,

Wiggle your fingers and your toes,

Coming back into the space,

And when you feel ready,

Open your eyes and feel free to record,

Journal,

Paint or color all that you have processed.
