Welcome to this golden light infant feeding meditation.
Just taking a moment to settle into this practice,
Into this moment.
Making sure you and your little one are as comfortable as possible and knowing that you can change position any time should you need to.
Just allowing a moment for your attention to come into the points of contact with the surface beneath you.
Whether you're sitting or lying down,
Just noticing the points of your body that are making contacts with the chair,
The bed,
Whatever's beneath you.
And then if it feels comfortable you might allow your attention to come into the breath moving in the body.
Noticing that expansion,
That growing as you breathe in,
That subsiding,
Shrinking as you breathe out.
Expanding out and subsiding back.
And you might allow the out breath now to be an invitation to just soften down a little into those points of contact.
Each time you're breathing out just inviting a little more softness,
A little more ease.
You might start to invite some softness in the shoulders,
In the forehead.
Then allowing your attention to come into the points of contact with your little one.
Noticing the points where their body is in contact with your body.
Just allowing yourself to enjoy these points of contact.
Absorbing the warmth,
The love that exists in these points of contact.
And you might start to imagine that you are breathing in a golden light.
As you breathe this in you might imagine that you're breathing it into your heart.
Into the space where your heart is.
And then on the out breath you might start to send this golden light out through your body.
Down through to the tips of your toes.
All along to the tips of your fingers.
And again allowing this golden light to be an invitation for softness.
And as you continue breathing in this golden light,
This warmth and softness,
On the out breath you might send it also to your baby,
To your little one.
Allowing your body and allowing their body to be filled with this golden light.
Just allowing a sense of this softness and warmth between you.
As if you were both glowing with warmth and kindness and love.
And you might take a couple of slow breaths,
Just allowing yourself to soak this moment in.
Soak up this sense of glowing.
Soak up the points of contact with your little one.
Just absorbing the love and nourishment of this moment.
And you might start to notice the sounds in the space around you.
Noticing again the points of contact with the surface beneath you.
Gently landing back from this meditation.
And knowing that this connection,
This warmth and love is always there.
