Welcome to this practice of deep rest. Today, we take a moment to honor the generations before us, those who shaped the world we live in today. Women have played a vital role in communities, families, and progress, often in ways that weren’t fully seen or acknowledged. But this practice is for everyone, a way to connect with the quiet strength, wisdom, and resilience that lives within us all. As we move through this practice, we will journey through the body's energy centers, the chakras, aligning with different aspects of strength and restoration.

Welcome dear one,

This is a time for deep rest.

A moment to honour yourself and the powerful lineage of woman who came before you.

A time to reconnect with the wisdom,

Strength and softness that lives within you.

Find a comfortable position,

Lying down with your arms at your sides.

Let your body be fully supported by the earth beneath you.

Getting as cosy as you possibly can,

Feeling the support,

Feeling the guidance.

Letting completely go into the support beneath you.

Letting all muscles in your body completely relax.

Relaxing your ears,

The space around your eyes,

Unfurrowing your eyebrows.

Feeling tension move away from the crown of your head,

Your shoulders dropping down,

Your legs splaying out.

Gently closing your eyes if you haven't already,

Taking a deep breath in and exhale slowly.

Repeating that three more times,

A deep breath in and long exhale out.

As you settle in,

Setting an intention for this practice,

A sankalpa.

This is a short positive statement in the present tense.

Something that resonates with you right now.

Something that sits strong in your heart and your soul.

Perhaps an intention to embrace your inner strength,

Reconnect with your intuition or simply to rest in the warmth of feminine energy.

Choosing a sankalpa such as I honour the wisdom,

Strength and softness within me and repeating that silently three times in your mind.

Whether it's the sankalpa I just offered or it's another one that resonates better with you.

Bringing that to mind and repeating that to yourself three times now.

Bringing your awareness to the earth beneath you now.

Feel its unwavering support just as the woman before you have supported generations to come.

Allowing your body to soften even more.

Feeling your feet and legs grow heavy,

Sinking into the support of the earth.

Imagine roots extending from your feet,

Grounding you in the wisdom of your ancestors.

I am grounded,

I am safe,

I am strong.

Bringing awareness now to your hips and belly,

The seat of intuition and creation.

Imagining a gentle stream flowing through,

Washing away tension,

Bringing clarity and ease.

I trust my intuition,

I flow with life.

Move your attention now to your solar plexus,

The centre of your personal power.

Visualise a warm golden light glowing in your core.

This is your inner fire,

Your confidence,

Your strength.

I am powerful,

My presence is enough.

Now feel your chest expand with each breath,

Opening space for love and compassion.

Picture a soft pink or emerald light radiating from your heart,

Embracing yourself and the woman who has shaped your journey.

I give and receive love freely.

Bring awareness now to your throat,

Allowing your voice to be strong and clear.

Move to your forehead,

The centre of intuition,

Where wisdom flows effortlessly.

Finally,

Rest in the space above your head,

Connecting to a lineage of powerful,

Wise women before you.

I honour my voice,

My wisdom,

My truth.

Connecting more intimately now with the different parts of your body that I mention.

Feeling them,

Noticing them and sensing them as I guide you through a rotation of consciousness.

Starting back at the tip of your head,

The space between your eyebrows,

Both eyebrows completely relaxing and separating away from each other.

Softening the bridge of your nose,

Both eyes sinking back into their sockets.

Both nostrils and the flow of air into them,

The outer ridge of your nostrils.

The curve of the space between your nose and your upper lip,

The curve of the peak of your upper lip.

The softness of your bottom lip,

Your whole set of teeth set into your jaw,

The entire inside of your mouth.

Both ears soft,

The entire front section and space of your throat.

Your chest expanded,

Your left shoulder,

Left elbow,

Wrist,

Thumb.

Second finger,

Third finger,

Your left waist,

Ankle,

Your left heel.

The padding on the bottom of your left big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fourth.

Back up to your throat space,

Your chest expanded,

Your right shoulder,

Right elbow,

Wrist,

Thumb.

First,

Second finger,

Third,

Fourth and fifth,

Your right waist and ankle.

Your right heel,

The bottom of your right big toe,

Second toe,

Fourth and fifth.

Feeling your entire body at complete rest now,

Your entire right side of your body and the entire left side of your body.

And feeling them both together,

Rested,

Sensing the energy of stillness,

Contentment,

Peace.

A subtle wave-like energy,

A glow around you,

A sense of gratitude.

Noticing your breath,

The natural flow of breath,

The natural rise and the natural fall of your chest.

And the beautiful soft energy of your body,

Soft and scented.

Now imagine yourself walking through a sacred garden,

A place where time stands still,

Where the wisdom of generations is alive.

Feel the soft earth beneath your feet,

The sense of blooming flowers in the air,

Golden light filtering through ancient trees.

As you walk,

You notice figures emerging in the distance,

Women of all ages and backgrounds.

They are your ancestors,

Your guides,

The mothers,

Sisters and visionaries who have paved the way or simply nurtured the way.

Perhaps you recognize some,

A grandmother,

A beloved mentor,

Perhaps they are unfamiliar,

Yet you feel their warmth,

Their presence.

One of them steps forward,

Offering you a gift,

This may be a symbol,

An object or simply a feeling.

Whatever it is,

Receive it with an open heart.

And as you approach,

Bringing forth a sense of gratitude for the woman in your life who have nurtured,

Held space or inspired with their expression.

And their voice,

Feeling that feminine essence and the gratitude for what that can teach you.

What lessons it might bring,

Noticing as you witness this,

Noticing the part of you that is witnessing.

Pure awareness,

Pure awareness,

Connection to self.

Slowly,

The golden light begins to soften and the garden fades into the background.

You are returning to your body,

Carrying the warmth,

Strength and wisdom of this journey.

Silently repeating,

I am powerful,

Radiant and whole.

I honor the wisdom of the woman before me.

My voice is worthy,

My dreams are valid.

When you are ready,

With complete kindness and compassion towards yourself,

Gently beginning to make subtle movements to your fingers and toes.

Slowly awakening from this deep rest,

Touching each finger to your thumb,

Starting with your index finger.

Ever so gently touching it to your thumb,

Moving to your middle finger,

Gentle touch,

Your next finger and your little finger.

Touching your cheeks,

Giving them an ever so light tap.

Awakening up,

Rotating your jaw around,

Ready to use your voice and whenever you feel ready,

Open your eyes.

Carry this energy with you throughout your day,

Knowing that you are never alone.

You walk with the strength of those who came before you.

Thank you so much for being here.

Namaste from Nicole.
