Welcome to this short guided meditation about connecting to what matters most.

In this practice,

We'll connect to our breath,

Connect to our bodies,

And contemplate three questions that will help us get clear on our values.

There's so much power in knowing ourselves,

Knowing our truth,

And living a life aligned with what matters most.

Our values are like a compass or a road map,

And they determine how we live every part of our lives.

Values are what make life intentional and meaningful,

They're what gives it purpose and direction.

At the core of every desire,

Dream,

Goal we've ever had,

Lies a value.

Getting clear on our values will help us embody the happiest,

Most fulfilled,

And most authentic version of ourselves.

Finding a comfortable seat,

Whether sitting up,

Lying down,

Or standing.

A position that allows a sense of alertness,

But also a sense of ease.

Remembering that you can always adjust your position as we journey throughout this practice.

I invite you to bring your eyes to a close if that feels okay.

Otherwise,

You can simply lower your gaze or soften your eyes.

We'll start with three deep breaths to settle in.

Inhaling through the nose.

Exhaling to sigh it out through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

And exhale to let it go.

Final time,

Inhale,

Deepest breath you've taken all day.

And exhale to sigh it out.

Continuing to inhale and exhale through the nose at your natural pace and natural rhythm.

Beginning to bring your awareness to the physical sensations of inhabiting a body.

Noticing any feelings that may arise,

Like tension,

Or tightness,

Tingling,

Or warmth.

Beginning to consciously soften the body.

Relaxing the forehead and the space between the eyebrows.

Relaxing the cheeks,

The jaw,

The neck,

And the shoulders.

Softening the belly and allowing the body to grow heavier with every exhale.

Feeling grounded and knowing that there's nowhere else you need to be and nothing else you need to do.

Simply focusing on being present in this practice and in this moment.

Now returning to the breath.

This constant life force energy and anchor that we can always come back to.

Feeling it move throughout the body.

Maybe bringing your attention to where you feel it the most.

Perhaps feeling it move in and out of the nostrils.

Or up and down the length of the spine or the length of the side body.

Maybe feeling the body rise and the lungs expand with every inhale.

And maybe feeling the body contract,

Soften,

And grow heavier with every exhale.

Now I invite you to turn inward.

Taking this opportunity to connect to your inner knowing and your inner wisdom.

All the answers that you seek are already within you.

What matters most to you?

Taking a moment to bring your attention to any thoughts,

Feelings,

Or sensations that may arise around the question.

What matters most?

Some of my values are purpose,

Service,

Learning,

Connection,

Love.

I invite you to take a few moments to contemplate what matters to you.

Now I invite you to contemplate.

If you live in alignment with what matters most,

How would your life change?

How would your relationships change?

How would your mindset change?

Bringing to mind one value,

Maybe the one that's the most important to you right now.

What are small ways that you can integrate this value into your everyday life?

As we begin to release these questions and this inquiry,

I invite you to return to your breath.

It's so easy to get caught up in the responsibilities and the hum of day to day life.

And even fill our lives with things that society deems valuable or important.

It takes courage to ask these questions and even more courage to reclaim and honor what truly matters.

We can live a life with more depth and meaning.

A life that transcends the habitual and the mundane.

As we begin to come back to the now,

Returning to the body and the space that you're in.

Maybe inviting some gentle movement into the body.

Wiggling the fingers and the toes.

Maybe circling the neck,

The wrists,

The ankles.

Maybe sending the arms up and overhead,

Taking a big stretch.

And in your own time,

Beginning to gently blink the eyes open.

Noticing the space that you're in.

And noticing your surroundings.

Noticing how your body and your heart feel after asking such big questions.

Finally,

Taking a moment to thank yourself for showing up for this practice.

And having the courage to ask such big questions and go after what you truly want in this lifetime.

You're always welcome to come back to this meditation.

As getting clear on what matters most is an ongoing practice that requires regular reflection.

I'm wishing you a beautiful day of clarity and ease.

I thank you so much for practicing with me.

And until next time,

Be well.
