What if the pressure to become someone,
To be someone in this world,
Is the very thing keeping you from the truth of who you really are?
Hey there,
Friend.
My name is Anthony,
And thanks for hitting play today.
We spend so much of our lives adding more.
More routines,
More goals,
More spiritual practices.
Even our spiritual awakening can start to feel like another performance.
We spend so much of our energy trying to become something.
To become better,
More disciplined,
More healed,
More worthy.
So in this session,
I want to share with you a very simple practice.
I like to call it returning to the inner state of zero.
Where we clear away all the clutter from our hearts,
Our minds,
And our bodies.
And return to that state where we can finally let go of who we think we need to be,
And rest into who we already are.
Because only from that place,
That still stripped down center of yourself,
Can you feel what's always been true.
That you are already whole,
You are already enough,
And you do have everything you need.
So let's take a moment to arrive right here in this breath.
In this moment.
No need to force it,
Just meet yourself where you are.
And together,
Let's clear a little space with the breath,
With simple awareness.
And see if you can let go of whatever is clinging right now.
In the body,
In the mind,
In your heart.
So as you exhale,
Breathe out the story of what was,
And what could be.
And breathe in what is.
The only truth there is.
The truth of here and now.
All of this that is happening now.
This is it.
This is where you are.
This is the most important moment of your life.
Breathe it in.
And breathe out the story of everything else.
The need to fix anything.
Prove anything.
The need to arrive anywhere.
This is the rhythm of life unforced.
Breathing in the here and now.
Just you.
Just your presence.
Letting each inhale meet you where you are.
And let each exhale carry away the pressure,
The weight of who you think you need to be.
Now,
Let's go deeper into this state of stillness and bring everything down to zero.
Zero thoughts.
Zero expectations.
Zero effort.
Zero plans.
Zero emotions.
Zero attachments.
Everything is zero.
Your past,
Your future,
Your goals,
Your job,
Your name,
Zero.
Let everything you've been carrying,
Your entire identity,
Dissolve.
All down to zero.
And feel that simplicity of this moment.
Of zero.
And if your mind is wandering,
Or if you find yourself thinking,
How can I just drop everything like that?
How can I detach from my identity?
My mind won't stop.
My body won't settle.
That's okay.
You're not alone.
You can gently guide your awareness back by softly repeating the word zero.
Almost like a sacred mantra.
Like a soft echo in the background of your awareness.
Zero.
You don't have to force it.
You don't even have to say it.
Just hear it faintly in your awareness.
Sense it subtly in your body.
Breathe into it.
Let zero dissolve the noise and return you back to that state of simplicity.
And from this place of everything stripped away,
Feel the remembrance that you're already held.
That the universe is not against you.
It's not testing you.
It's not withholding anything from you.
It's simply waiting for you to remember.
For you to notice what's always been with you.
Breathe out and let the pressure melt.
Exhale the story.
Inhale your being.
And feel the presence that needs no improvement.
You are not behind.
You are not broken.
You are not late.
There is nothing you need to do to earn your place.
You are already whole.
Already enough.
Already everything.
So today,
I invite you to consider to see what happens when you carry this attitude of zero with you.
Not trying to fill the space in your life,
But allowing the space to hold you.
And you might ask yourself,
Where in my life am I still trying to become,
When I could simply allow myself to just be?
What if my freedom begins not by adding,
But by subtraction?
What if my freedom is found at zero?
I'll leave you here to linger with that.
And I'll see you in the next meditation.
Much love.
