Hello,
Welcome,
Thank you for joining me in this moment.
Thank you for choosing some time for yourself.
And today's practice is going to be exactly what I feel like I need right now.
I feel like in the past few months I've not honoured my meditation practice like I used to do.
I feel like I've not given myself the chance to be as consistent and as present as I wished.
And I'm really really craving to go back into this practice that is always uplifting and calming and centering for me.
So thank you for keeping me company today,
Thank you for coming back to the practice with me.
So we're just gonna start with finding a comfortable position.
And when you've done that you can start to gently close your eyes and perhaps just gently adjust the body to find a comfortable space.
As you do that bring your presence to your breath.
Notice how your chest rises and lower as you breathe in and out.
Bring your attention to your internal world.
If you are like me we spend so much time focusing on the thing outside us and the thing that we cannot control.
And the thing in the past and the thing in the future.
So let's bring our mind back to the present.
Let's give the mind something to focus on.
So be mindful and present and aware of your breathing.
And as you reconnect with that I hope you can also cultivate some feelings of gratitude.
I think it's truly wonderful that our body does so much on its own and it all starts with a single breath.
So please let's continue focusing on our breath.
Focus on the sensation of your chest rising and lowering.
And sometimes we manipulate our breath.
We try to do deeper and longer inhale and deeper and longer exhale but not this time.
Here we're just really trying to bring a mindful present to what our body does every day with so much grace.
And again if you can celebrate every inhale and every exhale.
Going through the nose,
Pay attention to the air going through your nostrils,
Through your throat,
Filling up your lungs.
As you exhale notice how the air again goes through your throat and your nose and how the air of your exhale just a bit warmer than once you inhaled it.
What a beautiful gift our breath,
What a blessing we're given the chance to experience our life when it all comes down to our breathing.
This is our source of energy,
Our source of life.
So let's celebrate it and worship it with our awareness.
And sometimes we almost over complicate our practice by doing very complex and deep meditations by doing sampranayama practices by really stretching our capacities and abilities and challenging ourselves.
But actually sometimes we just need to come back to the basics,
We just need to come back where it all begins and it all begins at each and every breath.
And again let's use our presence,
Our awareness,
Our breath as a way of worshipping our body.
This is the perfect moment to thank your body.
If you want you can bring your hands over your chest or you can gently give yourself a hug.
It can also just be gently holding your hands together or lovingly stroking your face and touching your cheeks or perhaps try to express this love for your body in any way that feels meaningful and possible for you right now.
Feel all this love and appreciation.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you body.
You can stay here for as long as you need but I'm gonna leave you now.
I wish you the most wonderful things.
I wish that you found in this practice what you were looking for and I thank you so so much again for joining me.
