Bringing a striving to be perfect into everything we do can end up being a really life denying thing and rob us of our joy and authentic self connection.
This practice allows you to start your day or take a moment during work to release perfectionist stress and reconnect with your true self,
Fostering creativity and enthusiasm instead of viewing tasks as places where you need to prove your worth.
You don't have to prove your worth,
None of us do.
Creativity is fully worthy just by existing,
This isn't something we have to earn or pass a test to achieve,
This is innate worthiness.
And furthermore we're meant to embrace the richness of each moment,
The surprise,
The opportunity,
Not view moments as a test that we can get right or wrong.
So you've made a wonderful choice by gifting yourself this time and space,
Which is not more time and space than you have to give.
You're calming this false alarm system in your body that's hindering your ability to experience the peace and clarity that you wish to and to be present with all the good stuff.
So just settling in here,
As you take your space,
Affirm to yourself,
Checking in with myself is never a waste of time.
Looking after myself is never a waste of time.
Settling in,
Long breath out.
Settling into your body,
Into your spot.
Taking some conscious breaths,
Especially with this long,
Slow breath out,
Emptying your body,
Feeling your body sinking down into its support,
Landing.
You have time to arrive.
You can feel all the points of contact between your body and that surface beneath you that's holding it.
And you can begin to feel yourself arriving in your own body,
In your own breath.
That reunion.
Inviting yourself into whatever your body is feeling right now and practicing kindness and curiosity as you scan your body for its sensations.
That means you might notice some areas where there's some tension or where there's ease right now.
You might be asking your belly what it's feeling right now.
What sensations are there?
Are there any sensations in your chest or perhaps inside your throat?
These sensations in your body want to be acknowledged and heard.
Remember there's no need to chase any part of you away.
They want to know that all is well and that they are safe and you can let this happen for them.
You can let them know this right now.
Invite yourself to place a hand on your heart or your belly or both or another soothing spot in a way where you feel grounded.
Where you can really feel the physical container of your body.
Where you can feel the warmth of your own touch and the movement of your own breath beneath your hands.
Inhaling these words into your body sending this message,
I am enough just as I am.
Inhale and soften into your exhale.
I am complete just as I am in this moment.
Inhale with your exhalation soften your body down to the earth.
I celebrate each step of my journey in whatever form it takes.
Inhale and exhale.
Imagine your body receiving the message.
Your body is listening and receiving.
My worth is not connected to my productivity.
Inhale,
Exhale let that message land.
I see value in myself even on hard days.
I choose to trust myself not to control myself.
Your wise body breathing the words,
Embedding them in with every inhale and exhale.
I release the need to control every outcome that is not on you.
That is not for you.
I make space for the life I desire to unfold in ways I cannot imagine.
Inhale and exhale.
Your body is listening and receiving as these messages land.
I choose to enjoy the process of my journey rather than fixating on some end result.
Inhale and exhale.
There is so much beautiful life in me that wants to be set free.
Inhale acknowledging that beautiful life inside you and your exhalation frees it.
Freeing it from any constraints,
Any impossible standards or expectations.
Soften your shoulder,
Soften your jaw.
I am worthy of love and acceptance regardless of my achievements.
I am worthy of love and acceptance even on days I don't believe it.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Your body is listening and receiving.
I release the need to compare myself to others.
My journey is unique and valuable.
I choose to focus on and enjoy my journey in every step.
Inhale,
Exhale deeply into your body feeling that land heard,
Received.
I am enough just as I am.
I am complete just as I am.
I celebrate each step of my journey.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Bring your awareness to how your breath is moving inside your body.
Warming every space,
Filling every space.
Creating more space.
That movement of breath of energy freely expressing itself in every part of you.
How your whole body is breathing.
There isn't one part of you that's not being breathed.
This is your wholeness.
Your wholeness lives in every moment.
There is no moment of life when you are not whole.
As you receive and remember the truth that life is not after all a test to be passed,
A ladder to be climbed.
Can you access some gratitude that you have been invited into a miraculous gift?
The gift of life to inhabit it as the unique,
Expansive,
Precious soul that you are.
Just as you,
Your way,
Because no one else can be you.
No one else can do life the way you can and it is meant to be.
And you don't need to earn it or prove it,
You already are it.
This gift just by coming into existence and being you.
Isn't that amazing?
Knowing this,
What becomes possible for you?
And as we come to the end of this time and space that you have so wisely gifted yourself with,
Just take a couple of breaths to appreciate the gift that you've given yourself today.
And the gift that you are and the gift that you have.
And celebrate that.
With each conscious breath,

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes or bring any movement organically back into your body that allows you to become present again with the outside.

Just slowly taking in your surroundings with a renewed sense of who you really are.
And any other feelings in you that renew you.
Maybe there's some calm,
Clarity,
Peace or hopefulness.
Maybe there's some inspiration and enthusiasm now.
These are what you want to carry forward.
So as you prepare to transition back into whatever's next,
Embrace what you've cultivated here and let it guide you through whatever comes next.
There might be an intention you can call in that will really serve you in setting and honouring boundaries and focusing on thoughts and feelings which acknowledge and encourage you in all you do.
