Hello everybody,
Welcome to this meditation.
This meditation is intended for a seated posture,
So perhaps sitting on a cushion or a prop,
Or maybe sitting at the edge of your chair.
But the idea is to have your spine nice and long so that it induces more of an alert state of awareness.
And however,
If you are feeling like it would serve you better to lay on your back or just sit in a comfortable chair,
You can go ahead and do so.
So whatever would feel most comfortable to you in your body in this moment.
And take the time you need to set yourself up for comfort.
So whatever that is,
Make sure you'll be warm enough,
Make sure your head is supported,
If it's laying down,
Make sure your hips are supported.
So take the time now to make the adjustments you need to make so that you can remain in a still state and really turn inwards for the duration of the meditation.
And once you do find a comfortable place,
Allow your physical body to start to settle.
Allow your eyes to soften or close.
And take a few deep breaths.
And begin to call yourself present.
So bring your whole self present in this space.
Bring all the pieces of your psyche,
Of your mind,
Bring everything home into your body.
Call yourself home so you can be right here.
So you can be complete.
And begin by bringing awareness to your physical body.
Notice any areas of your physical body that feel tight or restricted.
Notice the general state of your physical body in this moment.
Allowing it to be as it is and simply bringing awareness to the state of your physical body.
Sensing muscles,
Sensing the bones,
Maybe even sensing your organs.
And just noticing how is my physical body today.
And turn awareness inward even more and begin to focus on your breath.
Feel the breath coming in and out through your nostrils.
Feel the breath moving down the neck and into your chest.
Get really curious about your breath.
Does your breath feel full?
Does it feel shallow?
Is it more concentrated on one side of the chest than the other?
Find the connection and the relationship you have with your breath.
And now moving your awareness to your mental state.
How is your mental state,
How is your mind doing right now?
Notice the thoughts that are moving through your mind.
Notice the quality of your mind.
Almost as if you could sit in a state of witness and simply watch the mind be a mind.
What is your relationship with your mind?
Bring awareness to your ability to witness.
Bring awareness to that place within you that can observe,
That can observe your thoughts,
That can observe your breath,
Your body,
The space around you,
That simple state of witness,
Consciousness,
Awareness,
Or higher self.
What is your relationship with that aspect of yourself,
That ability to simply observe?
And bring awareness now to your soul,
To your spirit,
To the aspect of yourself that is connected to something greater than yourself.
Witness it within your body,
The eternal aspect of yourself,
The pure energetic frequency of yourself.
What is your relationship with your soul?
What is your relationship with that?
And with that awareness of your soul,
Maintaining that awareness bring your observation back to the place of witness,
Your ability to observe.
And holding both your soul and your witness,
Become aware of your thoughts,
Your mind.
And holding your soul and your witness and your mind,
Bring awareness into the breath.
And let the awareness of the breath transition you to be aware of your body,
Your physical body.
And see if you can hold all those aspects of yourself at once.
See if you can be aware of that,
This multidimensional self that you are.
Without giving any of those extra attention,
But letting them all be as they are of equal importance,
Interconnected,
Working together.
Just sit in that awareness.
Allow your breath to start to deepen a little bit.
And you are welcome to remain in this state or this sensing as long as feels good for you.
Whenever you feel like it's time to transition,
Just do so very slowly and mindfully.
Do what feels natural and good in your body as you transition.
May you always remember your divinity,
Your wholeness,
Your interconnectedness.
And may you take moments like these to check in with your whole self,
Giving all parts of yourself some attention so you can really show up in the world as a full human being.
Thank you for listening.
Take care.
