So find a quiet,
Comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without being disturbed.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Taking the deepest breath you've taken all day,
Breathe in through your nose and like a big sigh,
Exhale it all out through your mouth.
Continue breathing in this way for the next few moments.
Allow your body to relax with each breath,
Releasing any tension or stress.
On each exhale,
Imagine releasing any worries,
Fears,
Or tension that come up.
Good.
It's important to acknowledge the depth of your grief.
Bring to mind the love you have for your baby and the profound sense of loss you are feeling.
Allow yourself to fully experience these emotions without judgment.
It's okay to feel sorrow,
Anger,
Confusion,
Or any other emotions that arise.
Just breathe through these emotions for the next few moments.
Now place your hand gently over your heart.
Feel the warmth of your hand and the gentle rhythm of your heartbeat.
Repeat silently or out loud,
I am here for myself.
I offer myself kindness and compassion.
Imagine a warm,
Comforting light radiating from your heart,
Filling your entire body with love and understanding.
Acknowledge any feelings of guilt or blame that you may be carrying.
Understand that these feelings are natural,
But not a reflection of the truth.
Visualize yourself gently releasing these heavy emotions,
Letting them dissolve into the light.
Take a deep breath in and on a big exhale out your mouth,
Just let these feelings go.
Do the same for any other feelings that should come up.
Now focus on the feeling of hope.
Visualize a small glowing light within you,
Representing hope and the potential for healing.
Take a deep breath in and feel this light spreading all throughout your body.
See this light growing brighter and stronger with each breath.
Allow it to fill you with a sense of calm and optimism.
Take a few more deep breaths,
Feeling the peace and relaxation you've created within you.
Know that you can return to this place of calm and self-compassion whenever you need to.
