Your body is full of wisdom, are you listening? This meditation will help you tune into what your body needs right now by first tuning into your breath and then going deeper into how your body feels. Get comfortable, relax, and listen to the wisdom of your body.

Your body is holy,

Your body is sacred.

Have you tuned in and listened to it today?

Just settling in however that feels good for you today.

Maybe lying down or seated comfortably however you like.

And then just start to connect into your breath.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Notice if your breath is smooth or stagnant,

Forceful.

Maybe your breath is short,

Long,

Somewhere in between.

Just notice,

Don't judge.

Just explore.

Now feel into what your body wants you to do with your breath.

Maybe it feels like you want to make your breath a bit longer.

Deeper inhale,

Longer exhale.

Maybe it's in need of a bit more energy.

Maybe you need to fasten your speed.

Wake your body up.

Just remember to relax your shoulders,

Your face,

Your eyes.

Let your body get heavy down towards the earth.

Feeling supported.

Maybe you're having a hard time connecting to your breath.

Maybe you don't really feel it.

If that's the case,

Just place one hand on your ribcage and one on your stomach.

Just notice if you can feel your breath.

Can you feel your ribcage expand as you breathe in?

Maybe even your stomach.

Breathing out and all relaxes,

Sinking back in.

So just focus on where you feel your breath.

The hand on your chest or the hand on your belly.

Which one rises the first?

Or maybe just one?

Does your ribcage expand in all directions?

Front,

Back and sides?

Or is it more shallow along one end?

Just noticing.

Does your hand on your belly move?

Maybe just a little,

Maybe a lot?

Just noticing.

Relaxing your shoulders,

Relaxing your jaw,

Your cheeks,

Your forehead.

Just being with your breath here.

Exploring,

Feeling,

Sensing.

Allowing your breath to be.

Maybe you want to take a deeper inhale and exhale out your mouth.

Make a big sigh,

Just releasing anything that doesn't serve you,

Doesn't belong in your body.

Maybe you want to release your hands down or keep them.

It's up to you.

Just feeling relaxed in your body,

Heavy,

Relaxed.

And how does your body feel today?

You're connected to the breath,

But the breath is just one part,

One movement.

So how does the rest of your body feel today?

How's your energy?

Maybe you feel tired or energized,

Maybe somewhere in between.

Your body speaks to you in many different ways.

Sometimes we're just really not good at listening to what it says.

If your body got to decide what you did today or will do today,

What would it be?

What is it craving?

What's it longing for?

Maybe it's recharging,

Relaxing.

Maybe it needs to release some tension or energy.

Maybe it needs to build up some fire within.

Maybe you need to work out or go for a walk or maybe just lie down.

Honor how your body feels,

But listen to your body,

Not your mind.

Are you making excuses for not doing the things your body needs or are you honoring what you truly need today?

On your next inhale,

Just raise your arms towards the sky,

Stretching long and exhale.

Let your palms meet and go down towards your chest and meet in front of your heart.

Maybe keep the palms together if that feels good or palms over your heart,

One hand over the other.

Just connecting with your soul here,

Which resides in your body.

How can your body help to nurture your soul today?

And once again,

Taking a deep inhale.

Exhale out your mouth and just sigh it out.

And when you feel ready,

Just open your eyes and honor your body today.
