Thank you for joining me for this guided chakra affirmation meditation.

Please find a comfortable seat,

Nice and tall.

Just begin to notice your posture.

Shoulders rolling back and down,

The crown of your head,

A little taller.

Please inhale through your nose and as you exhale,

Open your mouth and exhale out the mouth with a sound.

Go ahead and do that two more times at your own pace.

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out through an open mouth.

And again,

In through the nose and out through an open mouth.

Let your lips close lightly as you finish letting your breath continue to flow in and out through your nose.

And as it does,

Allow your breath to deepen in a natural,

Easy way,

Not with any sort of strain or effort.

Just gently deepening the breath as you also come into a deeper presence in your body.

Letting your body begin to settle into the surface,

The support beneath you,

Behind you.

Deepening the breath and deepening your awareness of your body.

Begin to notice your spine as you continue breathing.

And on your next inhalation,

Imagine your breath coming in through your tailbone and traveling all the way up the length of your spine to the crown of your head.

As you exhale,

Imagine your breath traveling from the crown of your head all the way back down through your spine and out your tailbone.

Inhale,

Imagine your breath coming back in through your tailbone and traveling all the way up the length of your spine to your crown.

Exhale,

Imagine your breath traveling from the crown of your head all the way back down through your spine and out your tailbone.

Please allow your breath to continue to travel the spine this way.

Inhaling up and exhaling down.

Inhaling up and exhaling down.

Notice the relationship between your posture and your breath.

Notice that as your inhalations travel upward through the spinal column that they support a lengthening,

An ability to sit just a little taller.

And that as your exhalations travel down the spine,

They allow you to feel easier,

More relaxed in your body.

Notice the natural space that your inhalations assist and the release of tension that your exhalations assist.

If your mind wanders,

As minds are wont to do,

It's fine.

Just gently bring your attention back to the breath and stay with the sensation of the breath traveling upward as you breathe in and down as you exhale.

Forward as you inhale and down the length of your spine as you exhale.

Continue to let your breath flow as we shift into affirmations to support the energetic centers of our body located along the interior of the spine.

We'll begin by bringing awareness to the base of the spine.

Just notice the base of the spine.

And silently repeating to yourself after me,

I am safe.

I am safe.

I am safe.

With your next inhalation,

Bring your awareness up to the deep center of the pelvis midway between the pubic bone and the navel.

Hold your attention in this area while you silently repeat to yourself,

I feel healthy.

I feel healthy.

I feel healthy.

On your next breath in,

Draw your awareness up your spine and into the area toward the top of the abdomen,

Your solar plexus.

Notice the solar plexus and repeat,

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

Just breathe in,

Continuing up the spine into the area behind your heart.

With your attention here,

The affirmation is,

I am love.

I am love.

I am love.

Continue with your breath up the spine to the back of your throat.

Silently repeat the mantra,

I speak truthfully.

I speak truthfully.

I speak truthfully.

Draw the breath up the spine into the mind's eye toward the center of the forehead between your brows.

I trust my inner knowing.

I trust my inner knowing.

I trust my inner knowing.

Finally,

Bring your awareness up with your inhalation higher still to the crown of your head.

Notice the crown of your head.

I am connected.

I am connected.

I am connected.

On your next inhalation,

Draw the breath once again up along the length of the spine from the tailbone to the crown.

Exhale your breath down and out through your open mouth.

Do that two more times at your own pace,

Inhaling up the length of the spine,

Tailbone to crown,

And exhale down and out through your open mouth.

Allow your breath to gently return to a normal,

Easy rhythm,

Sitting for just a moment longer before we go on with our day.

Bring your hands gently together before your heart.

Inhale.

As we exhale,

Let's bow our lips toward our fingertips and honor one another with Namaste.

Take your time opening your eyes,

Slowly letting the light come back in.
