My name is Cori.
Thank you so much for joining me this morning.
I appreciate your time.
I appreciate the fact that you got up no matter what time of day it is,
Whether it's morning,
Afternoon or evening.
You got up and created a space so that you could sit down and meditate with me.
So I appreciate that.
If you haven't done so already,
Make sure that your eyes are closed,
Your spine is nice and straight and the rest of your body is soft and relaxed.
Just see if you can soften your shoulders and let go of any tension that you might be holding there.
Feeling into the body for a little bit just to make sure that everything is in the right place so that we can utilize the mind for our meditation.
If the body isn't completely comfortable then sometimes it's a distraction.
Very often actually it's a distraction.
So always make sure that you pee before you meditate,
Make sure that you're wearing comfy clothes,
Make sure that you're sat in a comfortable position that's good for you.
It's important.
And once we're there,
Let's get more acute,
More focused.
Start by just feeling into the space around your eyes.
Feel,
Being the word,
Feel into.
So kind of just sit still and quiet and feel your eyes.
If you look down slightly and let your eyes relax,
That'll create a softening feeling,
Feeling like your eyebrows soften.
Think about your temples,
Your cheeks.
See if you can purposefully soften,
Create like a melting kind of feeling in your face.
Let all the tiny little muscles relax.
And once you're there and your face feels nice and soft,
Your jaw is relaxed.
Bring all of your focus and attention down into your heart space.
So that includes your heart chakra,
Which is in the center of your chest,
Right there in the middle of your ribs,
And your physical heart on the left side of your body.
Feel that space.
Start to take your breath down into your heart center.
So when you breathe in,
Imagine in your mind that you can see the breath coming in through your nose,
Down through your throat,
Down into your lungs,
And kind of pooling around the center of your chest,
In your heart chakra,
And also your physical heart.
So bringing your heart and your physical heart into the same space,
Your heart chakra and your physical heart,
Just include both of those areas every time you breathe in.
Pull your breath in,
Breathe into your heart.
And when you breathe out,
See if you can focus on softening every time you relax a little bit more on every exhale.
So breathe in,
You can imagine that you're breathing in relaxation.
Nice big deep breath into your heart space.
And then when you slowly relax and breathe out,
Imagine that you're letting go of tension,
Any stress.
Just so you're starting to become more aware of this part of your body,
This space in your body.
So when you breathe into it,
It creates more of a sense of awareness,
Like you're touching it,
You're touching this part of your body with your breath.
And that's what we want.
So that you can really become aware of it,
And focus on it,
Using your breath to touch it,
Breathing in,
And then breathing out.
Your heart center,
Your heart chakra,
Is all about the energy of love,
And how many ways that comes to us.
But the actual chakra can be overwhelmed,
Or invaded,
Blocked by the energy of grief.
It can be closed,
Heavy,
Tight.
Sometimes the grief that we're holding in our heart center is known to us,
We're conscious of it.
And then sometimes we hold grief in the heart space,
In our physical heart,
And we're very unconscious.
Things from our past,
Our wounds,
Childhood,
Issues from a long time ago,
We can hold grief subconsciously in our heart space.
And what that looks like in our body,
And our personality,
Can come out in many different ways.
Without worrying about that too much right now in this meditation,
Let's just focus on healing some of that grief.
So to heal the grief,
We have to bring back some love.
And whenever love is involved,
There is always a sense of openness,
Vulnerability,
Space.
Love feels like a blooming,
A spreading energy in the body.
Right?
It feels light,
Sometimes warm.
It feels happy.
Whereas grief feels tight,
Darker,
Colder.
There's a definite difference in those two energies.
Imagine it's Valentine's Day,
And we're going all the way back to when we were kids,
And love hearts,
Pink or red love hearts were prominent,
Right?
It's all about the love hearts.
Imagine that you're drawing a big,
Beautiful,
Rich,
Bright,
Pink love heart there in front of your face.
Just like you would when you were making a card when you were younger.
Imagine that you're drawing it in the space there in front of you.
And you're coloring it really carefully.
And you're taking some time and putting some love energy into it.
And it's the most perfect love heart.
Imagine your love heart there in front of your face is perfect.
And you're making it just for you.
It's not for anybody else.
And the color is just right.
You like the color.
You can change it and make it more red,
Or you can make it lighter pink if you want.
Whatever your body resonates,
Your mind resonates with today.
Draw your love heart there.
And once you have it,
Imagine that it's an energy that you can breathe in through your nose.
So when you take your first breath in through your nose,
Imagine that you can breathe in as if it was smoke or any kind of consistency that can come into the body.
Breathe it in through your nose.
Let it run down through your throat,
This love energy.
Breathe it all the way,
Big,
Deep breath into your lungs.
And as you breathe it into your lungs and around your lungs,
You're involving your physical heart and your heart chakra.
And when you breathe out,
Imagine that grief itself has a color.
What color would that be for you?
Maybe it's gray or black or dark blue.
Maybe it's purple,
Whatever color it is for you.
Imagine just simply releasing as if you're blowing out that color when you exhale.
So we're doing a transference.
We're re-scripting,
We're exchanging,
We're changing the energy that's inside of the body.
Simple,
Simple exercise.
You breathe in your perfect love color.
Breathe it in.
Allow it to swell in your heart.
In your mind,
See it swirling around your physical heart and into your heart center.
And as you breathe out,
You're releasing.
You're removing and letting go of some of that grief that doesn't need to be there just for yourself.
No particular reason.
You're not trying to let go of anything that hurts.
You're not trying to fix anything in the past.
You're not trying to do any real like deep mental surgery.
All you're doing is just shifting the energy in your body.
Bring in some love.
Breathe out some sadness,
Some grief.
To help with this simple ritual that we're doing with the breath.
If you want to,
When you breathe in,
If you want to add other images to your visualization.
For example,
When I breathe in love,
I think about something that I love.
As well as my beautiful pink love heart.
Breathing in the energy of that.
But I'm also maybe in my mind,
I see my kids,
I see things that make me happy.
I'm breathing in something in life that makes me feel joy rather than sadness.
So that can add to the power of your visualization,
The power of the energy that you're breathing in.
Breathe in.
And then breathe out.
And imagine you're just emptying the garbage or releasing.
For some reason in my mind,
I'm like rolling up an old,
Dirty rug and I'm taking it outside.
I'm letting it go.
Whatever your visuals are,
Let your mind play.
Because your mind knows what you need to see.
And just breathe in.
Remind yourself every time you breathe in that you're breathing in some love that you need,
That you created for yourself.
And every time you breathe out,
Let go of some of that grief.
In the form of whatever you need it to look like,
Whatever color you want it to be.
What you're actually doing is a process where you re-script an energy in your body.
It's something very simple like this visual.
You're re-scripting the energy that's present in your body.
You're removing one energy that you don't require.
And you're bringing in an energy that you'd like to keep in your body.
That feeling of light,
Open,
Joyful.
Something that makes you feel like life is worth living.
That you can feel gratitude for.
That you can feel happy that you have this life experience for.
Remind yourself that there is good.
There's always good.
And it's okay when we go through grief and sadness,
But you can very easily choose to miss something or love something from a place of peace,
From a place of happiness versus a place of pain.
It's a choice.
Let's do a couple more breaths together.
Breathe in that lovely color of love.
Breathe it all the way through your body.
Imagine you're filling every cell,
Every bone,
Every muscle.
Just for you.
Just so that you can feel good for no other reason.
And then as you exhale,
Let it go.
Let go of anything in your body that feels uncomfortable,
That makes you feel heavy.
Let it go.
See in your mind's eye that you're covered in your color of love.
All the way down to your toes.
All the way up to the top of your head.
Your whole body is infused with that color.
Allow yourself to feel a wave of happiness,
Maybe a wave of gratitude,
Or maybe just simply peaceful.
Maybe you just feel relaxed and peaceful.
And that's beautiful too.
I'm going to count to three and you can open your eyes and come back into your reality with this beautiful,
Loving feeling.
One,
Two,
Three.
Opening your eyes,
Just maybe whittle your toes,
Whittle your fingers,
Come back into your physical body.
Know that you're alive.
Know that emotions come and go all the time.
Like a constant changing.
Constant.
There's always something new.
Namaste,
My friends.

A beautifully guided, gentle way to internalize the pink visual energy of love that filled my heart, mind and body, while letting the grayness of grief release and a lightness began to be felt. A revisit to this practice will help strengthen this heartfelt bridge back to a love-filled, joyful life of peace. Thank you for sharing...🕊️😌🕊️
