A yoga nidra practice to release negative patterns and create an opportunity for planting the seeds of your highest desires into the nourishing, fertile ground of the subconscious mind. These seeds will soon manifest themselves as your life experience healing, renewal and a deep sense of relaxation!
Transcript
The practice of yoga nidra is a gift to experience and explore the facets of your multi-dimensional existence within the web of infinite creation and possibility.
In the threshold state between sleep and wakefulness,
The gateway to your subconscious and unconscious realities open and invite you to explore and consciously connect with the depth of your being.
Please take a moment to lie comfortably on the floor.
Tell yourself that you are safe as you relax into the floor,
Softening all your body parts,
Closing your eyes and becoming profoundly aware of your body on the floor.
You will be guided by my voice on a journey through different dimensions of your being,
Beginning with your physical body entering a state of deep relaxation.
Yet you will remain awake and alert.
You are open to receiving and merely witnessing what presents itself.
In the state of deep relaxation,
Limiting beliefs about ourselves will lose their charge.
The autopilot switch of your programmed mind is turned off and present moment awareness will enter.
It is in this state of presence that we will seed our sankalpa.
This is your personal resolve.
It is the seed of something you deeply desire,
Something you deeply wish to manifest in your reality.
We will plant our sankalpa at a later point in the form of a clear and concise statement.
Now,
We will surrender into the stillness of this moment,
Lovingly place any arising thoughts into an imaginary box a few feet away from you.
Now,
Gently close the lid knowing that you can get back to it later if you so wish.
Feel your whole body melt into the earth beneath you.
There is no separation between you and the earth.
Allow your eyeballs to sink heavy into the eye sockets.
Your jaw is relaxed.
You are letting go completely.
Witness the natural rhythm of your breath with every inhale and exhale moving deeper and deeper into stillness.
Inhale peace.
Exhale let go of anything that isn't serving you.
Allowing yourself to soften,
Relax,
Sinking deeper into the earth.
Become aware of the sounds outside of the room you're in.
Moving your mind from sound to sound as you allow your breath to escape into the center of the sound.
You begin to perceive it as a mere manifestation of energy.
Now,
Move your focus to the sounds within this room,
Moving from sound to sound.
Observing each sound for its quality and vibration.
Now,
Let go of external sounds and move your complete attention inward into the realm of eternal stillness.
Anchor deeper and deeper into the silent depth of your being.
Become aware of your body again.
Notice as you tap into the feeling of inner peace and calmness.
The aura is your personal energy field which radiates around your body.
Establish a connection with your auric field by breathing into the area.
Try to feel or visualize how far your aura extends from your body.
Now,
See it exactly fill a two to three foot radius egg shape around you.
Use your breath and vision to do this.
Mentally state the intent to have your personal energy field cleared from all attachments and energies that you have picked up throughout space and time that are not yours and are not serving you.
Now,
See a rain shower of golden liquid light pour down through your aura.
Notice how this feels.
Arising out of nothingness,
A golden majestic gate appears in front of your inward gaze.
The soft breeze of your breath causes the gate to slowly open.
As you enter,
You find yourself in a serene place in nature created into being by an imaginary force of your mind's eye.
You are flooded with feelings of calmness and peace.
Penetrated by the love and safety emanating from the ground and air around you.
With every inhale and exhale,
You relax deeper and deeper into the warm embrace of the earth.
We now call on the presence of our guides,
The higher dimensional aspects of ourselves.
We invoke the presence of the archangels and galactic emissaries of light to surround and support us.
We will now begin to rotate our consciousness by bringing attention to different parts of the body.
Starting with your right side,
Please follow the pace of my voice and become aware of the part of your body as you hear them named.
Giving each part permission to relax.
Become aware of your right hand thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Fifth finger,
Palm of the hand,
Back of the hand,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Your right shoulder,
Armpit,
Waist,
Hip,
Right knee,
Sole of the foot,
Top of the foot,
Right big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe,
The whole right side of the body.
Now move your awareness to the left side.
Your left hand,
Hand thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Fifth finger,
Palm of the left hand,
Back of the hand,
Wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Left shoulder,
Armpit,
Waist,
Hip,
Knee,
Sole of the left foot,
Top of the foot,
Left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe,
Whole left side of the body.
Stay awake and alert.
Moving now to the back side of your body,
Your right shoulder blade,
Left shoulder blade,
Right buttock,
Left buttock,
The spine,
The whole back together.
Notice the top of the head,
The front of the head,
Right eyebrow,
Left eyebrow,
The space between the eyebrows,
Right eyelid,
Left eyelid,
Right ear,
Left ear,
Right cheek,
Left cheek,
Nose,
Chin,
Jaw,
Throat,
Your right collarbone,
Left collarbone,
Right chest,
Left chest,
Middle of the chest,
The area around your navel,
Whole right leg,
Whole left leg,
Both legs together,
Whole right arm,
Whole left arm,
Both arms together,
Whole of the back,
Whole of the front,
Whole head together,
The whole body,
The whole body.
Become aware of the whole body lying on the floor.
Become aware of the meeting points,
Back of the head on the floor,
Shoulder blades on the floor,
Elbows,
Hands,
Buttocks,
Calves,
Heels on the floor.
Feel all the meeting points between your body and the floor.
Gently move your attention to the rhythm of your breath.
Feel your natural breath flowing between your navel and your throat,
Ignoring any attempt to force or change it.
Remain in connection with your breath.
Move your attention to your skin and we will open your body.
Feel the space where the surface of your skin and the air around you meet.
Now let go of the awareness of breath and see your whole body lying on the floor in Shavasana.
Imagine a mirror above you reflecting your whole body lying on the floor as an object.
Your head,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Legs,
Clothes,
See yourself completely.
Bring your attention now to the following sensations.
Awaken the feeling of heaviness in the whole body.
The whole body is heavy,
Heavy,
Heavy.
Your legs,
Your arms,
Your upper body,
Your head,
Heavy.
The whole body is so heavy that it is sinking into the ground.
You are unable to lift your eyelid if you tried.
Now recall the sensation of lightness in your whole body.
Your whole body is light,
Light,
Light.
From the top of your head down your spine and legs to your feet,
You feel lightness spread in your whole body.
See your whole body so light that's floating up from the floor like a feather,
Floating all the way to the ceiling,
Drifting back and forth.
Now sink into the space behind closed eyes and reestablish your anchor point into awareness.
Now try and remember a time or situation where you felt guilty.
Try as best as you can to awaken the sensation of guilt inside your experience.
Now remove the situation or person that evoked guilt in you from the sensation of guilt itself.
Be left with the residual sensations of guilt.
Do not withdraw from the feeling of guilt but dive deeply into its full expression until its intensity begins to vaporize into its rightful place in the universe for transmutation.
Now recall an experience or person to mind where you felt pure and innocent.
If nothing comes to mind,
Recall a picture or experience of yourself from your early childhood where you saw yourself as the embodiment of innocence and purity.
Deeply feel the innocence and purity of your childlike self.
Now detach from the situation or vigil and only stay with the feeling of purity of innocence.
Now return to the space behind your eyes and imagine before you a transparent screen through which you can see infinite space,
A space that extends as far as the eyes can see.
Concentrate on this space and remain a witness to any phenomena that manifests within it.
We will now prepare for rapid visualization.
Remain interested and present to the sound of my voice as I call off numerous images.
Merely receive their projections from your mind's eye on the bed of your awareness.
A rainbow,
A crystal skull,
The feeling of a summer rain on your skin,
Your childhood bedroom,
The color orange,
A tree,
The shape of two interlaced circles,
The sound ohm,
A waterfall,
The color red,
Your childhood face,
A garden,
A pyramid,
The color yellow,
A key,
Gazing into flames of a warming fire,
A green pulsating heart,
Planet earth from above,
Footprints in desert sand,
Shades of pink in the sky after an evening sunset,
Wild horses,
A spiral,
A spaceship,
Standing on a mountain peak,
Freedom.
Remain in the state of freedom as you connect once again with the gentle rhythm of your breath.
The transparent screen slowly reappears in front of your mind's eye,
A collage of the story of your life.
Every experience,
Every emotion,
Every relationship,
Every lesson and every growth has been captured in pictures,
Feelings,
Symbols and archetypes.
Take a moment to scan your collage,
Every footstep you have taken up until this point.
Now see your collage slowly being erased.
Every piece of the past is dissolving in front of your eyes.
Your entire life story has been erased.
Your screen is clear.
Your consciousness in the present moment where the power of creation exists.
At this very moment,
You can create the experiences you wish to have in the future.
Watch now as images,
Qualities,
Attitudes and relationships as well as your wildest dreams begin to effortlessly appear on your screen awaiting manifestation.
Once again,
The newly created tapestry on your screen erases itself and all that is left is a vibrating field of pure potential.
Into this very powerful space,
Drop in your Sankalpa,
Stating your personal resolve in your mind three times.
An example may be,
I am falling in love with myself or I am the embodiment of hell.
A high vibrational thought matched with a high vibrational feeling is very,
Very powerful.
So begin to feel your Sankalpa in every cell of your body as already manifested.
As you state your Sankalpa,
State it with sincerity,
Excitement and full feeling and let the universe respond to the frequency of the feeling,
Trust and excitement.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
Slowly,
Become aware of the whole body.
Become aware of the sounds in your external environment,
Remembering the floor beneath you,
Walls around you.
Bringing your consciousness back into your body,
You'll begin to deepen your breaths and slowly explore movement.
Maybe just moving a finger or a toe and gently allowing the movement to ripple into the body like a drop of water in the middle of a still lake.
