Welcome to this meditation practice.
This is a very mini version of the REI process.
For when you're really short on time and you want to bring yourself back to your visions and hopes,
Bring yourself back to your best self,
Your most empowered self,
Working from your future vision and not your habitual self.
And it's very useful when you're wanting to let go of concerns,
Worries,
Tensions or stresses and come back to your positive core and come back to realign to who you want to be being in the face of challenges.
So to begin with,
Become very present in your body and your breath and let go of any extra tension that you're holding.
Really realign yourself to your breath in whatever breathing practices you have.
If you do not have any,
Then come to settle in on the breath,
Breathing in for four counts and breathing out for four counts.
Do a body track,
Trace through your body.
Just let go of any tensions as you come across them.
And I want you then,
Now that you're here and present,
If there's anything else to let go,
Take a breath and let it go.
And I want you to pay attention to what needs forgiveness or letting go.
You're stopping yourself from moving into who you want to be being because you're holding on to what's happened in the past.
You're trapped in an emotional cycle.
And it's okay now to let that go.
To be response-able and responsible,
We need to bring our attention to letting go,
To releasing,
To forgiving.
And that time is now.
Breathe it out.
Breathe out anything left there that needs that release.
You can shake it out in your body if you're a mover.
Or just breathe it out or imagine it leaving.
Work with the ways that you feel this happening,
This release and letting go and forgiveness.
And then bring yourself to what I like to call your positive core.
This may be your energetic self or spiritual self.
This may be a sense of your best self,
Your inner mentor or guide.
This may be your faith,
Your connection to universal energy.
This may be your connection to your positive emotional self,
Your hope,
Your gratitude and your love.
Bring yourself there now.
Breathe into that,
All that is there.
Breathe yourself in,
Breathe yourself out.
Fully embracing the present moment and your positive core.
And now,
Perhaps with a smile on your face even,
Recenter and return to what you're committed to,
To who you're committed to being.
Return to your values.
Return to what's working.
Take a moment to focus on those strengths and positives.
And then move further forward into your future and expand that vision for yourself into really seeing and feeling an experience or situation unfold for you that you can take your mind's eye to.
Where you're embodying the energy you want to be embodying.
Where you're expanding into who you really value yourself to be.
And allow your energy to fill up that image,
To fill up that experience.
What would that really feel like?
Picture it,
Embody it.
And allow those sensations to grow.
Allow the expansive affirmation of who you truly are to grow.
To what you stand for,
To grow.
Breathe it in.
Notice an affirmation that's coming through,
I am,
I reclaim,
I embrace,
I give,
I.
.
.
Feel that affirmation.
And with this knowing in your bones.
Perhaps take that picture now in your mind's eye.
See it in full colour.
From the outside.
And now coming back to the present moment in your body,
In the present moment.
See that picture stay bright,
But it just moves away into that distance.
You can still see it.
And you can still feel that you're amplifying that energy as you come back to the present moment.
Knowing as you say your affirmation that you are embracing who you can now be,
Who you now are.
And you take a deep breath into this present moment.
You feel the energy,
Use any other sensations that you utilize when you meditate or visualize.
Notice if there's colours,
Feelings,
Pictures,
Words.
Really embrace all of your senses.
And when we come to take another breath and come to open our eyes,
We feel full of this future self,
Knowing we can move forward and expand.
This energy is now here in our bones.
And we take a breath in and open our eyes.
Feel free to write down your affirmation and place it somewhere where it will serve you,
Where you can reflect on it.
