Welcome to this mastermind meditation for immunity.

My name is Dorsey Standish and I'm so happy that you're here today for the short gratitude practice to boost health and well-being.

Research shows that a grateful attitude is actually correlated with better physical health and immunity and even fewer visits to the doctor.

What's more,

There's evidence that a regular gratitude practice can help the physical body by lowering inflammation,

Reducing blood pressure,

And even help you sleep better at night.

So with these benefits in mind,

Let's settle in for a brief gratitude practice.

Go ahead and find yourself in a comfortable seat.

Maybe roll the shoulders up,

Back,

And down.

And allow the eyes to softly close.

And taking a deep breath in through the nose.

And a full breath out the mouth.

One more cleansing cycle of breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

As you settle in,

Perhaps already finding a place to rest for a few minutes,

As you settle in,

Perhaps already finding a bit of gratitude for this time devoted to boosting your physical and mental health.

As you rest in your seat,

You might become aware of the clothes that you're wearing,

What they feel like on your skin.

Maybe you can even picture your outfit in your mind.

Think about how these clothes were made and how they came to you.

Maybe you picked them out or they were a gift from a friend.

Maybe you've had them for a long time and you're grateful for the opportunity to wear them.

Maybe you're thankful that your clothes are functional or comfortable or that they've lasted so long.

Finding some simple gratitude simply for the clothes that you're wearing.

You might bring to mind now the last thing that you ate or drink.

Thinking in the same way about where this food or drink came from,

Who might have helped to prepare it or bring it to you,

And finding gratitude for your ready access to food,

To water,

To sustenance.

You might even reflect on the ability that you have to listen to to watch this meditation.

Is it a device that you're using,

A piece of technology?

Finding gratitude for your access to this technology and your access to supportive activities like this meditation.

And perhaps you can bring to mind now a relationship that's really supported you recently.

You might remember this person's smile,

The sound of their laugh.

Imagine seeing them in front of you and sharing with them all the things that you're grateful for about them,

The skills and strengths that they have,

The ways in which they support you.

Sharing gratitude with them freely.

You might even imagine giving this person or being a hug and saying thank you.

I'm grateful for our relationship.

As you think about this person,

You can remember that they are grateful for you as well,

And that you can be grateful for yourself too.

Celebrating what's right with you in this moment,

Aware of your existing physical health,

The unique characteristics that make you you,

That light people up.

And you can remember that they are grateful for you as well,

The characteristics that make you you,

That light people up.

You might even say to yourself,

I'm grateful for my health.

I'm grateful for my strong body and sound mind.

I'm grateful for my radiant vitality and well-being.

Feeling your strong breath in your body,

Your healthy physical form resting in your seat.

I'm grateful for my health.

I'm grateful for my strong body and sound mind.

I'm grateful for my radiant vitality and well-being.

Concealing in this gratitude practice with a deep breath in through your nose and sharing your gratitude out through the mouth.

Another deep breath in and sharing it out.

One more time gathering it up and letting it go.

Curling the corners of your mouth up in a small smile,

Finding gratitude again to yourself for investing in your health and well-being with this short practice.

Gently wiggling the fingers and the toes and bringing yourself back into the space.

Remember,

A regular gratitude practice has been shown to boost your health and immunity.

So consider doing this meditation every day.

Or perhaps you even make a habit of writing down a few things that you're grateful for at night before you go to bed.

Or maybe you text them to a friend.

You could even make it a point to compliment people more and share with them what you're grateful for.

Remember,

Gratitude can boost your mental and physical health.

Happy practicing,

And I look forward to seeing you next time.

I found the teacher’s voice pleasant. I am grateful for all suggestions of what things I can be grateful for. Last night my wonderful husband made my tea for me. I slept in a soft nightgown. Thank you for offering this.
