This guided meditation is designed to lead the listener to find rest, comfort, and sleep. Sleep is vital to a person's overall health and wellbeing. However, many of us struggle to settle into a peaceful and restful sleep. This meditation also encourages the listener to scan the body and sink deeper into a peaceful place that would hopefully lead to sleep.

This is a meditation to help you find rest,

Comfort,

Peace,

And sleep.

This journey through life can be taxing,

Stressful,

And draining to the body.

So pause and take one deep inhale through the nose and release it with an open mouth.

Begin to let go of the thoughts that are currently running through your mind.

Begin to breathe and continue to let it go.

As you are inhaling and exhaling,

Exhale things that do not serve you at this moment.

Take another deep inhale through the nose and release with an open mouth.

Wherever you are,

Begin to get settled.

I invite you to begin laying down.

You can lay down on the floor,

A couch,

A bed,

Or whatever that can fully support your body in this present moment.

Allow yourself to soften the gaze.

Maybe you close the eyes,

Start to relax.

Begin to sink down wherever you are.

Think a little bit deeper,

Allowing the floor,

Couch,

Bed,

Or whatever you are lying on to support you.

Begin to breathe calmly.

Do not change your normal breathing pattern.

Allow yourself to sink just a little bit deeper.

Begin to unclench your jaw.

Open the shoulders.

Release the tightness and tension you are holding.

Notice what is going on in your body.

Is it your mind that isn't settling?

Is it the tension you are still holding?

Is it any discomfort that isn't allowing you to go deeper?

Whatever is distracting you,

Begin to release it.

Release it.

Release it.

Hear my voice as I guide you to rest,

To comfort,

To peace,

To sleep.

Take a slow inhale through the nose and release through the nose,

Nice and slow.

Imagine you are in a peaceful place.

In this place of peace,

You have the feeling of joy,

Security,

And safety.

You are safe in this place.

You are at peace in this place.

Imagine you are resting.

You are comfortable and you are happy.

Begin to breathe slowly through the nose and release it through the nose.

Go ahead and return back to that place of peace.

Return back to that place of safety.

You are safe.

With each inhale,

Fall a little bit deeper into restfulness,

Finding safety,

Rest,

And sleep in this present moment.

Know that you deserve rest.

Know that you deserve peace.

Allow yourself to accept sleep.

Notice your muscles beginning to relax with each inhale and each exhale.

From the crown of your head to the sole of your feet,

You are relaxing each and every muscle.

Draw your attention to your face.

Slowly soften every bone and muscle.

Soften the breath.

Soften the body.

You will begin to land in a place of rest,

Peace,

And sleep.

Find yourself immersed in restfulness.

Find your body in a sea of forgiveness,

Gratitude,

And love.

In this place,

You will find yourself in a deeper place of sleep,

A deeper place of peace,

A deeper place of rest.

Allow yourself to sleep.

Allow yourself to sleep.

Allow yourself to find rest.

Allow yourself to find rest.

Allow yourself to find peace.

Allow yourself to find peace.

Finally release.

Release as you fall deeper into sleep.
